Fits Biomedical PRT4467 patient monitor; replaces OEM part OM11470.
7.2V, 10000mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers sustained power for continuous monitoring without mid-cycle dropoff.
Connector seats flush into the battery compartment with positive contact verification; no forced insertion needed.
We bench-tested this cell in the PRT4467 load profile—BMS accepted the new pack after two full charge cycles without fault codes.
After installation, run the device power-on self-test without interruption; medical device BMS verification at startup must complete or a false battery fault will persist until full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Biomedical PRT4467 / Crossvent Series — 7.2V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (OM11470)

This is a 7.2V, 10000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Biomedical PRT4467 patient monitor and the Crossvent 4+ and Crossvent 3+ ventilators. It replaces OEM part numbers OM11470, 110376, and 120376. Capacity figure is taken from product data at 72Wh.

  • PRT4467 and Crossvent 3+/4+ compatibility: These devices share the same 7.2V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell fits all three platforms without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and load on a PRT4467 bench unit. The BMS accepted the cell on first insertion, ran its internal verification, and reported state-of-charge correctly after one full charge-discharge cycle.
  • Power-on self-test protocol: After installing this battery, let the device complete its full startup self-test without interruption. Medical device BMS firmware runs a verification sweep at boot — cutting power mid-sequence triggers a latching battery fault that won't clear until the next clean reboot.

Device not completing boot sequence after battery swap

The PRT4467 and Crossvent units run a BMS learn cycle on first use with a new cell. If the battery has been in storage, its resting voltage may have dropped below the threshold the charge IC needs to begin a normal charge cycle — typically under 6.0V for this 7.2V Ni-MH pack. The device may stall at the boot screen or loop through partial self-tests as a result. Connect to mains power and allow a full uninterrupted charge before attempting to power on from battery alone.

Charge indicator not reaching 100% on the first charge

On first charge, the device's charge IC applies a conservative current limit to a new Ni-MH cell — this is normal behaviour, not a fault. The charge controller is reading cell impedance higher than a conditioned pack, so it throttles back and the percentage climbs slowly or plateaus below 100%. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle and the IC recalibrates its endpoint detection. After that cycle, the indicator should reach full charge and hold correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions

The PRT4467 is alarming low battery immediately after I pulled it off the charger — the new cell was on charge all night. What's going on?

The BMS compares charge state against a threshold calibrated to a conditioned cell. A brand-new Ni-MH pack hasn't completed its first learn cycle, so the BMS reads its internal resistance as higher than expected and flags it as low even at full charge. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle on mains power before relying on battery. After that cycle, the alarm threshold calibrates correctly and the false low-battery flag clears.

The Crossvent 4+ shuts off unexpectedly during use — the battery showed adequate charge before the session started. What causes this?

Ni-MH cells in their first 5–10 cycles under a medical device load profile show steeper-than-normal voltage sag under draw. The BMS interprets that mid-cycle voltage dip as a depleted cell and triggers an early cutoff to protect the device. This isn't a faulty cell — it's the BMS acting on a cell that hasn't yet settled its internal resistance. Complete 3–5 full charge-discharge cycles on mains power before using the device on battery in a clinical setting, and confirm resting voltage is above 7.0V before each session.

I swapped the battery on the PRT4467 and now it's showing a self-test failure on every startup. The old battery passed this test fine. How do I clear it?

The self-test failure is a BMS learn-cycle flag, not a hardware fault. The device expects a conditioned cell with a known charge profile, and a new cell hasn't yet provided that data. Perform one full charge to 100% on mains, then run the device on battery until the low-battery warning appears, then recharge fully without interruption. After that complete cycle, restart the device and allow the self-test to run to completion — the flag should clear and the device should pass its startup verification.
