Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Alcatel Mobile 300 / 400 DECT Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (3BN66305AAAA000828)
This 3.7V 800mAh Li-ion battery fits the Alcatel Mobile 300 DECT, Mobile 400 DECT, Mobile Reflexes 300, and Mobile Reflexes 400 cordless handsets. It replaces OEM part numbers 3BN66305AAAA000828, ALCH-011664AC, and 3BN66305AAAA000846. Physical dimensions are 51.23 x 37.90 x 11.28mm — confirm fit before installing.
- Mobile 300 and 400 DECT platform: These models share a common battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol, which is why one cell covers the full range. The Li-ion protection circuit communicates charge state to the base station the same way across both series.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a DECT handset test rig. The BMS held the correct 3.7V nominal rail, cut off cleanly at the low-voltage threshold, and accepted charge current from a standard Alcatel base station without triggering a fault condition.
- First-charge protocol for DECT handsets: After fitting this battery, seat the handset in the base and leave it undisturbed for a full 16 hours before making the first call. Li-ion cells shipped in partial-charge storage state need a complete first cycle to let the BMS calibrate its capacity gauge accurately.
Range drops when the handset moves away from the base after a battery swap
DECT transmitters draw a short burst of higher current each time the handset pings the base. If the battery voltage sags under that RF load, the handset reduces transmit power to protect the cell. This makes range feel shorter than it was on the original battery — even if capacity reads fine at idle. The fix is completing two or three full charge-discharge cycles so the BMS stabilises the voltage curve under load. After that, the transmit power burst is sustained properly and range returns to normal.
Handset loses its pairing to the base after fitting the replacement battery
Removing the old battery cuts power entirely to the handset's volatile memory, which some Alcatel DECT models use to store the pairing registration. When the new battery goes in, the handset boots with no stored base ID and shows an unregistered status. This is not a battery fault — it is expected behaviour after a full power loss. Re-register the handset using the base station's registration button and the handset menu; the process takes under two minutes and restores normal operation.

Frequently Asked Questions
The base station shows a flashing charge error light after I put in the new battery — is the battery dead?
Most likely the cell arrived from storage at a lower voltage than the base station's acceptance threshold. Alcatel DECT bases typically reject a charge cycle if the incoming cell voltage reads below roughly 3.0V. Leave the handset seated in the base for 30 minutes without removing it — the base will trickle-charge the cell up to the acceptance window and then switch to full charge automatically. If the error light clears within the hour, the battery is fine.
Talk time is noticeably shorter than the original battery even after a full overnight charge — what's wrong?
Nothing is wrong yet. Li-ion cells ship at partial state of charge and the BMS capacity gauge needs real cycle data to calibrate. For the first three to five cycles, measured talk time will read lower than rated because the gauge is still mapping the actual voltage curve of this specific cell. Run three complete charge-discharge cycles — charge to full, use the handset until the low-battery warning sounds, then charge to full again — and talk time will align with the 800mAh rated capacity.
The handset battery drains completely overnight even when it's sitting in the base — why won't it stay charged?
The most common cause is the handset not making full contact with the base charging pins. Check that the handset clicks firmly into the cradle and that the charge indicator light stays solid. If contact is confirmed, check that the battery connector on the handset is fully seated — a partially connected cell can draw standby current without accepting charge current, running the cell flat by morning. Reseat the battery, clean the base charging pins with a dry cloth, and place the handset back in the base; the charge indicator should go solid within a few seconds.
