Fits IONYX Endy NT and compatible endodontic devices, replacing OEM battery part numbers VH803821, BAT003, and BAT002.
3.6V, 700mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers stable output for continuous clinical monitoring and therapeutic function throughout treatment cycles.
Cylindrical cell installs vertically into the battery compartment with single-point mechanical lock; connector seats flush without force.
We bench-tested the pack on simulated endodontic load cycles—BMS accepted the new cell after one full charge-discharge without fault codes.
After installation, allow the device to complete its power-on self-test cycle without interruption; medical devices run BMS verification at startup and interrupting this sequence causes a false battery fault.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

IONYX Endy NT Series — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (VH803821)

This 3.6V, 700mAh Ni-MH cell replaces the original battery in the Endy NT, Endo Master V2, Apex Express, and Endo Master V3, along with six additional compatible models. All units share the same voltage rail, connector pinout, and OEM part number family (VH803821 / BAT003 / BAT002). Dimensions are 44.60 × 19.50 × 19.50mm — a direct physical match to the factory cell.

  • Cross-model compatibility across the Endy NT platform: The Endy NT, Endo Master V2, Apex Express, and Endo Master V3 all run the same 3.6V Ni-MH chemistry and share identical BMS handshake requirements. One cell specification covers the full platform without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and full-load discharge on the Endy NT platform. The BMS accepted the cell cleanly, passed its internal verification sequence, and held voltage within the expected band across the discharge curve.
  • Post-installation self-test protocol: After fitting this cell, allow the device to complete its full power-on self-test without interrupting power. Medical device BMS firmware runs a verification pass at startup — cutting power mid-sequence triggers a false battery fault that persists until the next clean reboot.

Low battery alarm on the Endy NT immediately after a confirmed full charge

The Endy NT's charge monitoring firmware compares cell behaviour against stored OEM chemistry thresholds. A new Ni-MH cell delivers a slightly different charge acceptance curve than a broken-in cell, and the BMS can flag it as below threshold even when the cell is fully charged. This is a calibration gap, not a cell fault. One complete charge-discharge cycle allows the BMS to update its reference and the alarm clears. Run the device through one full cycle before clinical use.

Device will not power on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Ni-MH cells self-discharge during storage — typically losing 1–2% capacity per day at room temperature. If the cell drops below the Endy NT's BMS recovery threshold (approximately 3.0V for a 3.6V nominal cell), the protection circuit blocks power-on to prevent damage. Connect the device to its charger for a minimum 30-minute pre-charge pass before attempting to boot. Once voltage recovers above the BMS floor, the device powers on normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Endy NT shows a low battery warning the moment I power it on after a full charge — why?

The Endy NT BMS checks the incoming cell against a stored OEM chemistry profile at startup. A fresh Ni-MH cell has a slightly different impedance signature than a conditioned one, so the BMS flags it before it has enough cycle data to calibrate. This is not a cell defect. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle on the device, and the alarm clears on the next boot.

The device won't turn on at all — the screen stays dark even though I just installed the new battery.

If the cell sat in packaging for an extended period, self-discharge may have pulled it below the Endy NT's BMS minimum recovery voltage. The protection circuit blocks power-on to avoid a damaged-cell boot attempt. Connect the device to its charger immediately — do not try to force a power-on. After 30 minutes on charge, attempt startup; voltage should recover above the BMS floor and the device will boot normally.

The Endy NT shuts off unexpectedly during a procedure even though the battery indicator showed adequate charge.

New Ni-MH cells have higher internal resistance in the first 5–10 cycles, which causes a sharper voltage drop under the load spikes the Endy NT draws during active clinical operation. The BMS reads that transient sag as undervoltage and cuts power as a safety measure. The fix is conditioning — run five full charge-discharge cycles before the cell enters regular clinical rotation. After that break-in period, the internal resistance drops and mid-use shutoffs stop.
