Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Cecotec Rockstar 300 / 500 Series — 25.9V Li-ion Replacement Battery (60076)
This 25.9V 2500mAh Li-ion battery replaces part number 60076 in the Cecotec Rockstar 300, Rockstar 300X, Rockstar 500, and Rockstar 500X cordless stick vacuums, along with twelve additional models in the same family. It slots into the same battery bay and connects through the same BMS handshake as the factory cell. Capacity is 2500mAh (64.75Wh) — matched to the original specification.
- Rockstar 300 and 500 platform fit: The 300 and 500 series share the same 25.9V seven-cell battery architecture and identical connector pinout. One cell covers the full range because the motor controller draws from the same voltage rail across all models in this lineup.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through sustained suction loads on a Rockstar 500 unit. The BMS held steady through full carpet-mode draw, tripped correctly at undervoltage, and recovered cleanly after a rest period with no faults logged.
- Dock charging habit for this vacuum: Do not leave the Rockstar on the charging dock permanently. These vacuums trickle-charge when left docked after full charge, and that sustained low-current charge accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion cells. Charge to full, then remove it from the dock.
Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator reaches low
This is almost always voltage sag under load, not a low state of charge. When a partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw above its rated current, the battery voltage drops sharply mid-cycle — enough for the motor controller to reduce power — even though the indicator still reads mid-range. The fix is not a new battery. Pull the filter, wash it if washable, and let it dry fully before reassembly. A clean filter normalises motor draw and the voltage sag disappears.
Motor cuts out mid-clean and then recovers after a short pause
This pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dying battery. Sustained restricted airflow — blocked filter, full dust cup, or a blockage in the wand — forces the motor to pull more current than the BMS allows. The BMS cuts the output to protect the cells, then resets after a cooldown. Check the filter and empty the dust cup first. If the cutout stops after clearing the restriction, the battery and BMS are functioning exactly as intended.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Rockstar 300 keeps cutting out and restarting on its own — what's causing that?
That cycling behaviour is the BMS tripping on overcurrent, not a faulty battery. A blocked filter or full dust cup forces the motor to draw more current than the BMS threshold allows, so it shuts output and resets after a brief pause. Clear the filter and empty the dust cup before swapping the battery. If the cutout stops, the cell is fine and the restriction was the root cause.
My replacement battery is fading fast — the Rockstar loses power much sooner than when the battery was new. What went wrong?
Continuous dock charging is the most common cause of early capacity fade on these vacuums. Li-ion cells degrade faster when held at full charge under a trickle current, which is exactly what happens when the vacuum stays docked overnight or indefinitely. Charge the battery to full and remove it from the dock — do not use the dock as a storage cradle. Cells cycled this way hold capacity significantly longer than those left on continuous charge.
The Rockstar 300 won't charge at all after fitting the replacement battery — charger light stays off or flashes an error.
Some Cecotec chargers expect a valid BMS handshake before delivering charge current — if the communication line between the charger and the battery BMS is not established, the charger stays off or faults. First, seat the battery firmly and check the contacts are clean and making full contact. If the charger still shows no response, leave the battery connected for five minutes without pressing any button — some BMS units need a brief initialisation window before the charger recognises them. Verify the charger output is 29.4V DC before ruling out a charger fault.
