Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sencor SVC 0725BK / SVC 8725GD / SRV Series — 25.9V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SVX 047)
This is a 25.9V Li-ion battery rated at 2500mAh (64.75Wh), built to replace the SVX 047 pack in Sencor cordless stick vacuums. It fits the SVC 0725BK, SVC 8725GD, SRV 4250, SRV 6250, and two additional models in the same family. The voltage and connector match the original spec, so the vacuum's motor controller sees no difference at startup.
- SVC and SRV series compatibility: These models share the same 25.9V (7S Li-ion) voltage rail, identical pack dimensions, and the same BMS handshake protocol. That is why one part number — SVX 047 — covers the whole family. Swapping between models in this group does not require any adapter or firmware change.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and discharge cycles on a SVC 0725BK unit. The BMS balanced all cells correctly, held the motor start surge without tripping overcurrent protection, and the vacuum's battery indicator tracked charge level accurately throughout.
- Dock charging habit on this vacuum: Do not leave the SVC 0725BK sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous trickle charge causes capacity fade on Li-ion packs significantly faster than normal cycle use. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock until the next use.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
This happens when the motor draws more current than the BMS expects, usually because a partially blocked filter is forcing the motor to work harder. The pack voltage sags under the increased load, and the motor controller reduces power to protect the system — even though the battery still has charge remaining. The indicator reads the resting cell voltage, not the loaded voltage, so it shows green while suction is already weak. Clean or replace the filter first, then recharge; if suction recovers, the battery is not the cause.
Motor cuts out mid-clean then comes back after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. Sustained restricted airflow — from a packed dust cup or clogged cyclone — forces the motor into a high-current stall condition. The BMS cuts power to protect the cells, waits a few seconds to cool the circuit, then allows restart. It will keep happening until the restriction is cleared. Empty the dust cup, check the cyclone mesh for blockage, and confirm the filter is clean before assuming the battery is faulty.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Sencor SVC 0725BK won't charge at all after fitting the replacement SVX 047 battery — charger light stays off or flashes immediately
This usually means the BMS in the new pack is in deep-discharge lockout, which can trigger if the pack shipped at very low voltage. Connect the charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without interrupting it — the BMS needs a trickle current to recover enough cell voltage before it will accept a full charge cycle. If the charger light still does not respond after that, check the dock contacts on both the vacuum and the charger for oxidation and clean with a dry cloth. The pack should begin charging normally once cell voltage climbs above 18V.
The new battery gives noticeably shorter runtime than the old one did when it was new — why?
A partially blocked filter is the most common cause that gets misread as a battery problem. When airflow is restricted, the motor draws more current than rated, depleting the 2500mAh pack faster than the vacuum's design assumes. Check the filter and cyclone mesh before concluding the cell capacity is low. If the filter is clean and the problem persists, charge the pack fully — confirmed by the indicator reaching full — and run one complete discharge cycle to let the BMS recalibrate its state-of-charge tracking.
The Sencor vacuum worked fine for the first few weeks, but now the battery fades noticeably faster after only a couple of months of light use
Continuous dock charging is the most likely cause. Leaving the SVC 0725BK on the charging dock between every use means the battery sits at 100% under a trickle charge for extended periods, which accelerates Li-ion capacity loss faster than regular charge-discharge cycling does. Remove the vacuum from the dock once the charge indicator shows full. Going forward, charge only when the battery is depleted or nearly so, and the capacity fade rate should slow significantly.
