Dreame V16S / V12S / WP1 — 25.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery (P203220)

This is a 25.2V 2500mAh (63Wh) lithium-ion battery pack for the Dreame V16S, V12S, and WP1 cordless stick vacuums. It replaces OEM part number P203220. When the original pack loses charge capacity and cleaning runs shorten noticeably, this swap restores full motor voltage and suction performance.

• V16S, V12S, and WP1 compatibility: All three models share the same 25.2V nominal voltage rail, identical battery bay dimensions, and the same BMS communication protocol. The connector pinout and latch geometry are identical across the group — no adapters needed.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and discharge cycles on the V16S. The BMS handshake initialised correctly, cell balancing engaged as expected, and the overcurrent protection tripped and reset cleanly under a simulated blockage load.
• Dock charging habit for this vacuum: Do not leave the V16S sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous dock charging trickle-charges the cells past their recovery voltage and accelerates capacity fade faster than most users expect. Charge to full, then remove it from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

The V16S motor draws significantly more current when airflow is restricted — a partially blocked filter or clogged cyclone forces the motor to work harder, pulling the cell voltage down faster than the indicator anticipates. The indicator reads state-of-charge under normal load, not under elevated draw. A pack that reads 50% under a clean filter will read much lower under restriction because the voltage sag triggers the cutoff threshold early. Clean or replace the filter first, then test the battery — this resolves most early-indicator suction complaints.

Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failing battery. When the V16S maintains sustained suction against a blocked filter or dense carpet pile, current draw spikes above the BMS protection threshold and the pack shuts output. After 15–30 seconds the BMS resets and power returns. If this happens repeatedly, the fix is airflow — clear the filter and check the cyclone for debris. Once airflow is restored and draw drops back to normal, the battery should run without interruption to below 22V before the low-cell cutoff activates.
