Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Clevo P750ZM / P751ZM Series — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (P750BAT-8)
This is a 14.8V, 4400mAh (65.12Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Clevo P750ZM, P751ZM, P771ZM, P770ZM, and 27 additional P-series notebooks. It replaces OEM part numbers P750BAT-8, 6-87-P750S-4272, 4ICR18/65-2, and 6-87-P750S-4U73. Fit it when the original cell no longer holds a charge or the BIOS flags battery health as degraded.
- P750 / P770 platform compatibility: These models share a common 14.8V four-cell rail, identical connector pinout, and the same BMS communication protocol — which is why one part number covers the full range. The replacement cell matches the original voltage and BMS handshake, so the BIOS recognises it without a firmware workaround.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through full charge and discharge on a P750-series unit. The BMS balanced all four cell groups correctly, the charge controller handed off cleanly at 16.8V, and the OS fuel gauge updated after two calibration cycles without throwing a health fault.
- First-use calibration on the P750ZM: After installing, run one full discharge until the laptop hibernates on low battery, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before unplugging. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health or "unknown battery" warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.
P750ZM shutting down at 20–30% remaining under gaming or CPU load
The P750ZM pairs a high-TDP CPU with a discrete GPU, and under full load both can pull the pack voltage down sharply. When cell voltage drops below roughly 3.2V per cell under that load, the BMS triggers a protection cutoff — even if the OS fuel gauge still reads 25%. This is a voltage-cliff event, not a capacity fault. If it happens with a new cell, the BIOS fuel gauge IC hasn't completed its learn cycle yet and is misreporting state-of-charge. Run two full discharge-to-hibernate and charge-to-100% cycles; the cutoff point will shift back to the correct range.
System information showing the wrong Wh rating after battery swap
Windows and the BIOS read Wh data from the battery's EEPROM, which stores the manufacturer's rated figure from the original cell. After a swap, the EEPROM on the new cell may report a slightly different value than what the old cell stored — this is normal when OEM and replacement cells use different internal ratings for the same chemistry. The actual usable capacity is 65.12Wh as listed. To clear the stale EEPROM reading from the OS, run a full discharge-to-hibernate cycle, recharge to 100%, then check Device Manager — the reported Wh figure should update to match the new cell's EEPROM data.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Clevo P750ZM shows "plugged in, not charging" after I installed the new battery — what's wrong?
This is usually the BIOS charge-limit feature activating, not a fault with the replacement cell. Some P-series BIOS builds ship with a charge threshold set to 80% to reduce cell stress. Enter the BIOS (F2 at POST), navigate to the Advanced or Power menu, and check for a "Battery Charge Limit" or "Battery Life Cycle" setting — disable it or set the threshold to 100%, then reboot.
The fuel gauge is jumping around — showing 60%, then 45%, then 70% — after fitting this battery. Is the cell faulty?
The fuel gauge IC on the P750ZM motherboard calibrates against the cell's actual charge and discharge curve, not stored EEPROM data. After a cell swap, the IC has no valid baseline for the new cell, so it interpolates badly for the first few cycles. Run two complete discharge-to-hibernate cycles followed by uninterrupted charges to 100% — the gauge stabilises once the IC has mapped the new cell's voltage curve.
BIOS is reporting battery health as "poor" or "replace battery" immediately after installation — is the replacement cell already dead?
No — the BIOS carries over the health assessment from the old, degraded cell until it completes a learn cycle against the new one. Discharge the laptop fully until it hibernates, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the machine. After one full cycle the BIOS recalculates health against the new cell's data and the warning clears. If it persists after three cycles, reseat the battery connector and confirm the OEM part number matches P750BAT-8.
