Fits EKO HD 720p, Full HD 1080p Wifi, and Ultra HD 4K Wifi action cameras.
3.7V 900mAh lithium-ion cell restores full capacity for extended video recording sessions.
Connector type and orientation match OEM spec; no adapter or modification needed.
We bench-tested this cell through full discharge cycles; BMS accepted it without fault codes.
On first install, run one full charge cycle in the camera body before heavy recording — EKO firmware needs to map the new cell's discharge curve to the battery-remaining display.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

EKO HD 720p / Full HD 1080p / Ultra HD 4K Wifi — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 3.7V 900mAh (3.33Wh) lithium-ion cell replaces the original battery in the EKO HD 720p, Full HD 1080p Wifi, and Ultra HD 4K Wifi action cameras. All three models share the same compact cell footprint and voltage rail, so one replacement covers the range. Capacity figure is taken directly from the product specification — 900mAh at 3.7V nominal.

  • EKO action camera series fit: The HD 720p, Full HD 1080p Wifi, and Ultra HD 4K Wifi all draw from the same 3.7V cell architecture with a shared connector and matching BMS communication protocol, which is why a single replacement cell covers all three variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the action camera platform, confirmed the BMS handshake completed without fault flags, and verified the camera body accepted the cell and reported charge status correctly through the indicator.
  • First-cycle initialisation on EKO action cameras: Run the first full charge cycle through the camera body itself, not a third-party external charger — the EKO BMS maps the discharge curve during this first cycle to calibrate the battery-remaining indicator accurately for subsequent sessions.

Why the EKO camera shows a dead battery icon on a freshly charged replacement cell

The EKO action camera reads battery state by mapping voltage against a stored discharge curve from the original cell. A new replacement cell has a slightly different resting voltage profile, so the camera's indicator can misread it as depleted even when fully charged. This is a calibration mismatch in the BMS, not a cell fault. One full charge and discharge cycle through the camera body resets the mapping and the indicator will read accurately from that point forward.

Battery percentage jumping erratically during recording

This happens when the camera's voltage-threshold table doesn't yet align with the new cell's discharge curve — the indicator jumps because voltage readings land between the stored reference points. It's most visible during sustained 4K recording, where current draw is higher and voltage sag is more pronounced. The fix is the same first-cycle calibration: charge fully via the camera body, run the cell down to auto-shutoff, then recharge. After one complete cycle the percentage reading stabilises and tracks correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions

My EKO camera keeps showing "no battery" even though the replacement cell is fully charged — what's wrong?

The EKO BMS runs an authentication check on insertion and can reject an unrecognised cell if it hasn't completed a charge handshake yet. Remove the battery, reinsert it firmly so the contacts seat fully, then place the camera on charge via the original USB cable for a complete cycle. After that first charge cycle through the camera body, the BMS accepts the cell and the indicator reads normally.

The battery percentage on my EKO action camera drops from 80% to 20% almost instantly during recording — is the cell faulty?

It's not a faulty cell — it's the camera's voltage-threshold indicator mapping against a discharge curve it hasn't calibrated to yet. Under the sustained current draw of HD or 4K video recording, voltage sags faster than the stored reference points expect, so the counter skips. Run one full charge-to-shutoff cycle through the camera body and the percentage tracking will stabilise. After calibration, the drop-off will reflect the actual 3.7V discharge curve of the 900mAh cell.

The EKO camera body gets noticeably warm during continuous 4K recording — is that a battery problem?

Warmth during sustained 4K recording is mostly processor and sensor heat, not the cell itself. However, if the battery is also warm to the touch after a session, check that the contacts on both the cell and camera body are clean — oxidised contacts increase resistance and generate additional heat at the interface. Wipe both contact surfaces with a dry cloth before reinserting. If the body heat is concentrated away from the battery compartment, the cell is not the source.
