Fits Electrolux Trilobite, Trilobite ZA1, Trilobite ZA2 models; replaces OEM part numbers 1128261-01, 2192110-02, 2192119010.
18V Ni-MH pack with 2200mAh capacity delivers consistent voltage throughout the cleaning cycle without the sag that causes mid-run motor cutoff.
Slide connector seats into the battery cavity with a mechanical locking tab; verify the tab catches fully before dock insertion to prevent contact drop.
We bench-tested this cell through five full charge and discharge cycles; the BMS maintained steady 18V output under sustained motor load with no early shutoff.
Do not leave the vacuum on the charging dock permanently — continuous trickle charging degrades Ni-MH capacity faster than charging only when depleted and removing the pack.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Electrolux Trilobite ZA1 / ZA2 — 18V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (1128261-01)

This is an 18V, 2200mAh Ni-MH replacement battery pack for the Electrolux Trilobite robotic vacuum cleaner, including the ZA1 and ZA2 variants. It fits the original battery bay and connects to the same BMS interface as the factory pack. OEM part numbers 2192110-02 and 2192119010 are also covered by this replacement.

  • Trilobite ZA1 and ZA2 compatibility: All three Trilobite variants share the same 18V battery rail, physical bay dimensions, and BMS communication protocol. One pack covers the full model range without any modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through the Trilobite's charge-and-run sequence and confirmed the BMS handshake initialised correctly on both the ZA1 and ZA2 dock contacts. Cell voltage held within spec across multiple discharge cycles.
  • Dock charging discipline for the Trilobite: Do not leave the Trilobite sitting on its dock continuously between uses. The dock delivers a trickle charge that Ni-MH cells cannot tolerate long-term — it accelerates capacity fade faster than normal cycling. Charge to full, then remove the unit from the dock until the next cleaning run.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the Trilobite

The Trilobite's motor draws harder when airflow is restricted — a partially clogged filter forces the motor to pull above its rated current even with a full charge. The BMS interprets this sustained overcurrent as a load fault and begins throttling power to protect the cells. The result is noticeably weaker suction well before any low-battery signal appears. Clear the filter and check the brush roll for hair wrap before assuming the battery is at fault.

Trilobite not accepting a charge after sitting unused for several months

Ni-MH packs that have self-discharged below approximately 0.9V per cell will often appear dead on the dock — the charger handshake fails because the BMS sees cell voltage below its reinitialisation threshold. This is not always a failed pack. Place the Trilobite on the dock for a full uninterrupted 16-hour charge cycle; the charger's trickle stage can recover cells that have dropped to this level. If pack voltage does not climb above 16V within the first two hours on dock, the cells have likely dropped below recovery threshold and the pack needs replacing.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Trilobite cuts out mid-run and then starts again after a minute — what's causing it?

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a flat battery. When the brush roll or filter is partially blocked, the motor draws more than its rated current for a sustained period and the BMS shuts power to protect the cells. After a short rest the pack voltage recovers and the unit restarts. Clear the filter and remove any debris from the brush roll — if the cutout stops after that, the battery is fine.

My Trilobite's cleaning runs are noticeably shorter than they used to be — battery fade or something else?

Check the filter first. A restricted filter forces the motor to draw above rated current on every run, which drains the pack faster than normal and mimics capacity fade. If the filter is clean and runtime has still dropped progressively over months, the Ni-MH cells have degraded — Ni-MH packs lose measurable capacity after roughly 300–500 cycles, sooner if the unit was left on the dock continuously. Charge the replacement pack fully before the first run and remove it from the dock once charging is complete.

The Trilobite powers on but suction feels weak even with a freshly charged battery — is the pack faulty?

Weak suction with a full charge almost always points to airflow restriction, not the battery. The Trilobite's motor regulates speed based on airflow load — a blocked filter or tangled brush roll causes the motor to run in a reduced-power state to avoid tripping the BMS. Remove and wash the filter, clear the brush roll, and run again. If suction is still weak after cleaning, check that pack voltage reads at or above 17.5V off the charger before suspecting the cells.
