Fits iRobot Looj Gutter Cleaning Robot 120 and Looj 130, 150 models, replaces OEM part 11200.
7.2V 3600mAh Ni-MH pack delivers sustained voltage to the debris brush motor on extended gutter runs.
Connector slots into the battery bay with single retaining clip; orientation keyed to prevent reverse insertion.
We bench tested the BMS response on full discharge — the pack held voltage stable through motor stall without premature cutoff.
Do not leave this Ni-MH cell on the charging dock continuously after reaching full charge; trickle charging degrades capacity faster than charge-and-remove cycles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

iRobot Looj 120 / 130 / 150 Series — 7.2V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (11200)

This 7.2V, 3600mAh Ni-MH battery replaces OEM part 11200 in the iRobot Looj Gutter Cleaning Robot 120, 130, 150, and Looj Gutter Cleaner models. It restores drive and auger power to units that have lost capacity through age or cycle wear. Dimensions are 133.17 x 46.55 x 22.47mm — confirm these against your pack before fitting.

  • Looj 120/130/150 platform fit: All three models share the same 7.2V battery bay, connector layout, and BMS handshake. The pack slots directly into the same cavity across the range, so one SKU covers the full Looj lineup listed above.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge-discharge cycles on Looj hardware and monitored BMS cutoff thresholds. The protection circuit triggered correctly at low-voltage and recovered cleanly on the next charge cycle without faults.
  • Post-storage re-initialisation: Ni-MH cells lose charge in storage. If this pack arrives partially depleted, place the Looj on the charger for a full uninterrupted charge before first use — the BMS needs to see a complete charge cycle to report capacity accurately to the device.

Why the Looj stops mid-gutter and won't restart immediately

The Looj auger motor draws a current spike each time it hits a compacted debris load. On a degraded Ni-MH pack, cell voltage sags hard under that surge, tripping the BMS overcurrent cutoff. The robot stalls, and the BMS holds the cutoff for several seconds before allowing restart. Replacing an aged pack resolves this — a fresh 3600mAh cell maintains voltage above the BMS trip threshold through debris contact.

Looj shows full charge indicator but stops working after a short run

This is capacity fade — the pack accepts a surface charge quickly, the indicator reads full, but usable capacity is a fraction of rated. Ni-MH cells degrade fastest when stored discharged for extended periods between seasonal use. A replacement pack with fresh cells will hold the full 3600mAh across a complete gutter run. After fitting, run one full charge-to-depletion cycle to calibrate the indicator.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Looj dies partway through the gutter but the battery light still shows green — what's happening?

This is classic Ni-MH capacity fade. The cells accept enough charge to register full on the indicator, but the actual usable capacity has dropped well below 3600mAh through age and cycle wear. The robot pulls consistent current from the drive and auger motors, and a faded pack simply can't sustain that load across a full gutter length. Replace the pack and run one complete charge cycle before the next job.

The Looj auger spins, then stalls, then starts again on its own — is this a motor fault?

Most likely not a motor fault — this is a BMS overcurrent trip. When the auger hits a compacted leaf or debris plug, motor current spikes sharply. On a weak pack, cell voltage sags below the BMS trip threshold and the protection circuit cuts power for a few seconds before resetting. A fresh 3600mAh pack holds voltage above that threshold through the surge. If the stalling continues on a new pack, clear the auger channel and check for a debris blockage forcing the motor into sustained overload.

The replacement battery won't charge — the dock light just flashes and never goes solid.

The Looj charger sends a low-level conditioning current first and expects the pack voltage to respond within a set window. If this replacement arrived deeply discharged from storage, the charger may not recognise it as a valid pack. Leave the robot seated on the dock for 30–60 minutes regardless of the flashing light — the charger should detect the rising voltage and switch to full charge mode. If the dock light still won't go solid after that, check that the battery connector is fully seated; a partial connection causes the same symptom.
