Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Elektronika 7A — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (4UR18650A-FL)
This is a 14.4V 2600mAh Li-ion battery for the Elektronika 7A cordless vacuum cleaner. It replaces OEM part 4UR18650A-FL and restores full motor power to the vacuum's suction system. Capacity figure comes from the product data — 37.44Wh total energy storage.
- Elektronika 7A compatibility: The 7A platform runs a 14.4V motor rail with a specific connector and BMS handshake. This replacement matches that voltage and communicates correctly with the vacuum's charge and discharge circuitry, so the device powers on and accepts a charge without fault codes.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the 7A motor load. The BMS held voltage steady under sustained suction draw and triggered cutoff cleanly when the pack reached its low-voltage threshold — no premature shutoff at partial state of charge.
- Dock charging practice for the 7A: Do not leave the 7A sitting on its charging dock between uses. Continuous trickle charging accelerates capacity fade on Li-ion cells at this voltage. Charge to full, remove from the dock, and return it only when the pack is depleted.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
This happens when the motor draws more current than the pack can deliver cleanly — usually from a restricted filter forcing the motor to work harder. The BMS reads that elevated draw as a voltage sag and begins throttling output before the indicator catches up. Clean or replace the filter first. If suction recovers immediately after cleaning the filter, the battery was reacting to the restriction, not failing. If sag continues on a clear filter with a fresh battery, check that the cell voltage sits at or above 16.4V immediately after a full charge.
Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — blocked brush roll, clogged filter, or a sealed inlet — the motor stalls partially and pulls a sustained spike of current. The BMS cuts the circuit to protect the cell, then resets once current drops. Clear any blockage at the brush roll and inlet, then check the filter. If the cutout stops after clearing the restriction, the battery and BMS are functioning correctly. Repeat trips on a clear machine with a new battery point to a motor bearing fault drawing excess current.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Elektronika 7A suction feels weak even right after charging — is the battery actually full?
A fully charged 14.4V Li-ion pack should measure between 16.2V and 16.8V at the terminals immediately after the charger light turns green. If the pack reads below 15.5V at that point, it is not reaching a full charge — check the charger contacts are clean and seated correctly against the battery. If the pack measures full but suction is still weak, pull and clean the filter before assuming a battery fault, since a blocked filter makes the motor draw more current and deliver less airflow regardless of charge level. Confirm terminal voltage first, then inspect the filter.
My Elektronika 7A used to last much longer between charges — what causes that kind of capacity fade?
Leaving the vacuum on the charging dock continuously is the most common cause of capacity fade in Li-ion cordless vacuums. Trickle current held against a full cell accelerates electrolyte degradation, and the pack loses usable capacity each cycle as a result. A replacement 4UR18650A-FL cell at 2600mAh restores original capacity, but that capacity will fade again quickly if the dock charging habit continues. Charge only when depleted, then remove the vacuum from the dock once the indicator shows full.
The Elektronika 7A won't start charging on the replacement battery — the charger light just flashes or stays off.
Some Elektronika chargers send an initialisation signal before starting the charge cycle, and a deeply discharged replacement cell can read below the charger's minimum acceptance voltage — typically around 10V for a 14.4V pack. Leave the battery connected to the charger for 20 minutes without interruption; some chargers trickle at very low current to bring the cell up to acceptance voltage before switching to full charge mode. If the charger light never changes state after 30 minutes, check that the battery contacts are aligned and free of debris. A cell that arrives below 9V may need a compatible Li-ion charger capable of recovery mode to initialise it.
