Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

RobZone Roomy Gold — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (4UR18650A-FL)
This is a 14.4V 2600mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the RobZone Roomy Gold robotic vacuum cleaner. It fits the motor and cleaning system that the original 4UR18650A-FL cell powers. When the original pack loses capacity, this replacement restores full operation without replacing the entire unit.
- Roomy Gold platform fit: The Roomy Gold runs its drive motors and suction motor from a single 14.4V Li-ion pack. The 4UR18650A-FL designation matches the voltage rail and BMS handshake the onboard controller expects. A mismatched pack voltage will cause the vacuum to refuse to start or trip a fault state.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the pack through full charge and discharge cycles on a Roomy Gold unit. The BMS responded correctly to motor-start current draw and held voltage steady through normal cleaning loads. No overcurrent trips or charge refusal were observed.
- Dock charging habit on the Roomy Gold: Do not leave the Roomy Gold sitting on the dock between every use permanently. Continuous trickle charge from the dock degrades Li-ion cell capacity faster than charge-and-remove cycles. Charge to full, then pull the unit off the dock until the next clean.
Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator reaches low
The Roomy Gold's suction motor draws more current when airflow is restricted — a blocked filter or partial blockage forces the motor to work harder at the same voltage. Under that extra load, cell voltage sags earlier than the indicator expects, so suction drops while the display still shows charge remaining. The BMS reads actual cell voltage, not the indicator logic, so it may reduce power delivery to protect the cells before the low-battery light triggers. Clear the filter and check the suction path before assuming the battery is at fault.
Motor cuts out mid-clean and then recovers after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a depleted battery. Sustained restricted airflow — typically a clogged filter or tangled brush roll — causes the motor to draw above the BMS current threshold. The BMS interrupts output to protect the cells, then resets once current demand drops. The vacuum appears to recover on its own, which is the BMS re-enabling after the trip clears. Clean the filter and remove any debris from the brush roll, then confirm cell resting voltage is above 12.0V before continuing use.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Roomy Gold has strong suction at the start of a clean but noticeably weaker suction by halfway through — is the battery already failing?
Not necessarily. Partial filter restriction forces the suction motor to draw above its rated current, which causes cell voltage to sag under load well before the pack is depleted. The result looks like a weak battery but is actually the BMS reducing output to protect the cells under the extra draw. Clean the filter thoroughly and check the brush roll for tangles, then run another clean cycle. If suction holds steady with a clear filter, the battery is not the issue.
The Roomy Gold stopped docking and charging after we fitted the replacement battery — the charger light just stays off.
Some robotic vacuum chargers send a low-current probe signal before committing to a full charge cycle, and a deeply discharged or newly fitted pack can fall below the voltage threshold the charger expects to see. Check that the dock contacts and battery terminals are clean and making firm contact. If the charger still does not respond, connect the pack to a compatible standalone Li-ion charger set to 14.4V to bring the cells above 10.8V, at which point the dock should recognise the pack and resume normal charging.
The Roomy Gold used to run a full house clean on one charge but now needs recharging after just one room — we haven't changed anything.
Capacity fade from continuous dock charging is the most common cause of this on robotic vacuums. Leaving the unit on the dock permanently keeps the cells in a trickle-charge state, which accelerates capacity loss in Li-ion chemistry over weeks and months. A replacement 4UR18650A-FL pack restores original capacity, but the same fade will return quickly if the dock habit continues. Charge the replacement to full, remove it from the dock, and only return it to charge when the battery indicator shows low.
