Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Evolveo RoboTrex H9 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 14.4V Li-ion battery rated at 2600mAh (37.44Wh) for the Evolveo RoboTrex H9 robotic vacuum cleaner. It slots in as a direct cell replacement when the original pack can no longer hold a useful charge. No OEM part number is listed for this model — match by fit model and voltage before ordering.
- RoboTrex H9 compatibility: The H9 runs a 14.4V drive and suction motor rail. This pack matches that voltage and uses the same connector format and BMS communication the H9 charging circuit expects. Swapping to a mismatched voltage will trip the dock's protection circuit.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through repeated charge and discharge sequences on the H9 platform. The BMS handled motor-start current spikes without tripping into protection mode, and charge termination cut in cleanly at full capacity.
- Dock charging habit on the H9: Do not leave the RoboTrex H9 sitting on its dock indefinitely between uses. The dock does not cut trickle charge after the pack reaches full, and continuous float charging accelerates cell degradation. Charge to full, then remove the unit from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the RoboTrex H9
This happens when the motor draws more current than the pack can sustain at its actual state of charge, even though the indicator still reads mid-level. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to pull harder, which causes voltage to sag below the motor's operating threshold early. The BMS reads this sag as a low-cell event and begins throttling output. Clean the filter first — if suction still drops early with a clean filter, the cell capacity has degraded and the pack needs replacement.
RoboTrex H9 motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a wiring fault. When suction is restricted — blocked brush roll, clogged filter, or hair wrap — the motor draws a sustained current spike that exceeds the BMS threshold. The BMS cuts power to protect the cells, then resets automatically once current drops. Clear the blockage and check the filter before assuming the battery is at fault. If the cut-out repeats on a clear machine, check that the replacement pack's BMS trip threshold matches the H9's motor draw spec — verify the pack is showing at least 14.4V resting voltage after a full charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
My RoboTrex H9 used to clean the whole floor but now it stops way earlier — is that the battery or the filter?
Both cause early shutdowns, but for different reasons. A blocked filter makes the motor draw more current than rated, which drops cell voltage and triggers the BMS before the pack is actually flat. Clean the filter and brush roll first — if runtime stays short on a clear machine, the original cells have lost capacity and the pack needs replacing. A fully charged replacement should show 14.4V at rest before you run the first cycle.
The RoboTrex H9 won't charge on the dock after I fitted the replacement battery — the dock light just blinks.
The H9 dock expects a BMS handshake before it begins the charge cycle. If the BMS in the replacement pack doesn't respond to the dock's initialisation signal, the dock holds off and blinks rather than charging. Remove the robot from the dock, hold the power button for ten seconds to reset the BMS, then place it back on the dock contacts. If the light still blinks, check that the pack terminals are seated cleanly against the robot's connector — a partial contact breaks the handshake.
I left my RoboTrex H9 sitting on the dock for three weeks and now the new battery barely lasts one room.
Continuous dock charging keeps a trickle current running through the cells even after the pack reaches full. Over days and weeks this degrades cell capacity faster than normal cycling does. A pack in this state may recover slightly after two or three full discharge-and-charge cycles away from the dock. Going forward, charge the H9 to full, then lift it off the dock and store it on the floor — only return it to the dock for the next charge session.
