Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Blaupunkt Bluebot XEASY — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (6.60.40.05-0)
This 14.4V 2600mAh Li-ion cell replaces the factory battery in the Blaupunkt Bluebot XEASY robotic vacuum and related models including the BPK-VCBB1XE, XPOWER+, and XBOOST. It powers both the suction motor and the onboard navigation system. OEM part numbers 6.60.40.02-0 and 6.60.40.03-0 are also covered by this cell.
- Bluebot XEASY platform fit: The XEASY, XPOWER+, and XBOOST share the same 14.4V battery rail, connector footprint, and BMS communication protocol — that is why one cell covers the full range. The BMS handshake on these models verifies cell voltage at power-on before enabling the motor driver board.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Bluebot platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, current limiting kicked in correctly at sustained high-draw on thick carpet simulation, and the protection circuit tripped cleanly at the low-voltage threshold before the motor could starve.
- Dock charging habit for XEASY owners: Do not leave the XEASY sitting on the dock between every short clean. These robots on continuous dock charge develop capacity fade significantly faster than units charged only when the cell is depleted. Charge to full, then remove it from the dock.
Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator reaches low
This happens because the suction motor draws more current whenever airflow is restricted — a partially blocked filter or tangled brush roll forces the motor to work harder than its rated draw. The BMS reads that overcurrent condition and steps down power to protect the cell, which the robot interprets as low battery. Clean the filter and clear the brush roll first. If suction restores immediately, the battery was never the problem — airflow restriction was.
Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When the suction path is blocked — filter clogged, debris packed at the inlet — current spikes past the protection threshold and the BMS disconnects the motor to prevent cell damage. The robot pauses, the BMS resets, and the motor restarts. Clear the filter and inlet, then check cell voltage at the terminals: a healthy cell at mid-charge should read between 14.8V and 15.6V at rest. Persistent trips after cleaning the airway point to a degraded original cell, not the motor.

Frequently Asked Questions
My XEASY battery dies way faster than it used to — I haven't changed how I use it. What causes that?
Continuous dock charging is the most common cause on these robots. When the XEASY sits on the dock after every short run, the charger delivers a low trickle current to a cell that never fully depletes — over weeks that trickle damages cell capacity. Remove the robot from the dock once charging is complete and only return it when the battery is genuinely low. If capacity has already dropped significantly, the original cell needs replacing — degraded Li-ion cells do not recover from trickle damage.
The new replacement battery isn't being recognised — the XEASY shows a fault light and won't start. What's happening?
The Bluebot platform runs a BMS handshake at power-on before enabling the motor driver. If the replacement cell's protection circuit holds the output voltage below the robot's detection threshold — typically because the cell shipped in a low-state-of-charge — the robot reads no valid battery and faults. Place the battery on charge for a full cycle before fitting it. After a complete charge the cell voltage should sit at or above 16.4V, which satisfies the handshake and clears the fault.
The XEASY suction drops sharply when it hits carpet, but recovers on hard floors. Is that a battery problem?
It can be either the battery or the filter — carpet demands significantly higher motor current than hard floors, so voltage sag on a weakened cell is more visible under that load. Before swapping the battery, pull and clean the filter. A partially blocked filter on carpet forces the motor to overdraw, which causes the BMS to step down power and mimic the symptom of a flat battery. If suction stays weak on carpet after cleaning the filter, measure terminal voltage under load — a healthy 14.4V cell should hold above 13.0V while the motor runs on carpet.
