Indream 9200 / 9300 / 9700 Series — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V, 2000mAh Ni-MH battery pack for Indream cordless stick and handheld vacuums. It fits the 9200, 9300, 9300XR, and 9700 models, along with three additional variants in this series. Voltage and cell count match the original pack exactly.

• 9200 / 9300 / 9700 platform fit: These models share the same 14.4V power rail, connector footprint, and BMS communication protocol. Swapping between them uses identical cell configuration, so one pack covers the full range without wiring or adapter changes.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the pack through full charge and discharge cycles on a 9300-series unit. The BMS held cutoff correctly at both ends — no undervoltage trips mid-run and no overcharge flags from the dock charger.
• Dock charging habit on cordless vacuums: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. Ni-MH cells in continuous trickle charge develop capacity fade faster than cells charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when the motor draws more current than the battery's rated discharge can sustain under load. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to work harder, pulling current that causes voltage to sag early. The BMS interprets that sag as low cell voltage and begins throttling output before the indicator catches up. Clear the filter first — if suction still fades early, the pack itself may have degraded below usable capacity.

Motor cuts out mid-clean then restarts on its own

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a power failure. When suction is restricted — blocked nozzle, clogged filter, or dense carpet pile — the motor draws a sustained spike that the BMS reads as a fault and shuts down to protect the cells. After a few seconds the BMS resets, which is why the vacuum restarts. Clear the blockage, check the filter, and retry. If trips continue on unrestricted surfaces, check that the pack voltage reads at least 15.6V immediately after a full charge.
