Fits XRobot XR510 robotic vacuum cleaner; replaces OEM battery CS-KSB001VX.
14.4V, 2000mAh Ni-MH pack delivers 28.8Wh to sustain motor torque on carpet.
Battery slides into the vertical slot on the undercarriage; connector seats flat without locking tabs.
We bench-tested the BMS on a test XR510 dock — full acceptance charge, no fault codes, stable voltage hold.
Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock continuously after reaching full charge; Ni-MH packs on trickle charge fade noticeably faster than those removed when depleted.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

XRobot XR510 — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V, 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the XRobot XR510 robotic vacuum cleaner. It slots into the XR510's battery bay and powers the drive motors and suction system. Capacity is rated at 28.8Wh — matching the original cell specification.

  • XR510 platform fit: The XR510 runs a 14.4V motor rail across both its drive wheels and suction motor. This cell matches that voltage requirement and the bay dimensions — 91.91 x 67.35 x 44.58mm — so the pack seats correctly and the contacts align without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through repeated charge and discharge sequences on the XR510 platform. The BMS held stable across normal suction loads and responded correctly when the motor drew higher current over carpeted surfaces.
  • Dock charging habit on the XR510: Do not leave the XR510 sitting on the charging dock indefinitely between uses. Continuous trickle charging accelerates capacity fade in Ni-MH cells faster than in lithium chemistries. Charge to full, then remove the unit from the dock until the next use cycle.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

The XR510's suction motor pulls more current when filters are partially blocked — the motor works harder to maintain airflow and voltage across the 14.4V rail begins to sag. The battery indicator reads state-of-charge, not voltage under load, so it can still show mid-range while suction has already weakened. This is a voltage sag failure under sustained high draw, not a capacity problem. Clean the filter first — if suction recovers immediately, the battery was not the cause.

Motor cutting out mid-run and then recovering after a pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip. When the XR510 encounters a blockage or heavily soiled filter, the motor current spikes past the BMS threshold and the pack cuts output to protect the cells. After a short pause, the BMS resets and the vacuum runs again. The fix is not a new battery — clear the blockage, clean the filter, and check the brush roll for tangled debris. If the trip still occurs on a clean machine with a new battery, verify the charger brought the pack to full voltage before the run.

Frequently Asked Questions

My XRobot XR510 loses suction halfway through a clean but the battery light still shows plenty of charge — what's happening?

This is voltage sag under load, not a depleted battery. A restricted filter forces the suction motor to draw more current than rated, which drops the voltage on the 14.4V rail even when the cell has capacity remaining. The charge indicator reads stored energy, not live voltage, so it lags behind what the motor is actually experiencing. Clean the filter and brush roll — if suction returns to full strength immediately, the battery is fine.

The XR510 keeps cutting out mid-run and restarting after I wait a minute — is this a faulty battery?

Not necessarily. The BMS trips the pack output when motor current spikes past its overcurrent threshold — this usually happens when the brush roll is jammed or the filter is clogged and the motor is straining. The one-minute pause is the BMS resetting, not the battery recovering charge. Clear any blockage, clean the filter, and run the vacuum again — if the cutout stops, the cell is working as intended.

My replacement XR510 battery fades noticeably after just a few months — could the charging dock be causing this?

Yes. Ni-MH cells degrade faster under continuous trickle charging than lithium cells do, and leaving the XR510 docked permanently between every use is the most common cause of early capacity fade. The dock keeps a small charge current flowing even after the pack is full. Charge the battery to full, then remove the unit from the dock and store it off-charge until the next cleaning cycle.
