Fits Intermec CV41 and VM1376 handheld scanners; replaces OEM part numbers 160000-0000 and OVT31OL1R00.
10.8V, 2600mAh lithium-ion delivers full power to barcode laser and wireless radio without voltage sag during rapid scan bursts.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a positive locking tab; orientation marked on the scanner housing.
We bench-tested this cell on a CV41 dock simulator — BMS accepted the charge handshake on first insertion without error codes.
After installing, place the scanner in its cradle for one complete charge cycle before field use; the scan trigger pulls peak current when cells are near minimum and a pre-charged pack prevents false BMS trips during your first shift.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Intermec CV41 / VM1376 — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (160000-0000)

This 10.8V 2600mAh lithium-ion pack replaces the original battery in the Intermec CV41 and VM1376 mobile computers. Both are vehicle-mount and handheld units used in warehouse picking, inventory scanning, and asset tracking. Voltage and cell count match the OEM spec exactly.

  • CV41 and VM1376 shared platform: Both models run the same 10.8V three-cell battery rail with an identical connector pinout and BMS handshake. One pack covers both units without modification or adapters.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on a CV41 unit. The BMS reported state-of-charge correctly to the device OS, and protection circuitry tripped at expected thresholds under simulated scan-burst inrush loads.
  • First-shift preparation: After installing this pack, seat the scanner in its charging cradle and run a full charge cycle before the first pick-and-pack shift. Scan trigger inrush current peaks when the cell is near minimum charge — a full cell prevents false BMS trips when the laser or imager fires repeatedly on the first use.

Cradle showing a charging error after fitting a new pack

CV41 charging docks use contact pins that oxidise quickly in dusty warehouse air. When contact resistance rises above a threshold, the dock's charge controller reads an abnormal voltage curve and flags an error rather than starting a charge cycle. Wipe the gold contacts on both the battery pack and the dock with a dry cloth or isopropyl swab, then firmly reseat the unit. If the error clears within 30 seconds of reseating, contact resistance was the cause — not a faulty pack.

Scanner dropping its wireless connection during rapid scan bursts

The CV41 draws from the same cell simultaneously for the imager and the 802.11 radio. During a fast scan burst, combined inrush can cause a momentary voltage sag that the radio interprets as a power fault, dropping the wireless session. This is more common on a partially depleted pack. Keep the battery above 30% during active picking runs — voltage sag under combined load narrows significantly above that threshold.

Frequently Asked Questions

My CV41 scanner stopped reading barcodes right after I fitted the new battery — what's wrong?

The imager needs a minimum voltage to fire reliably, and a new pack shipped at storage charge (around 50%) may be just above that floor. The BMS can also trip on the first scan-trigger inrush if the cell isn't fully charged. Seat the unit in its cradle and charge to 100% before attempting scans. A full cell holds the voltage rail stable through the laser or imager inrush spike.

The CV41 feels noticeably warm after a long scanning shift — is that a battery problem?

In an enclosed housing with sustained wireless polling and frequent scan bursts, heat builds up at the cell and the radio module together. The battery itself will be warm to the touch under that combined continuous draw — this is expected. If the unit becomes hot enough to trigger a thermal warning on-screen, reduce scan frequency or allow a rest period; sustained heat above 45°C accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion cells.

My new pack seemed to last much shorter than expected in the first week — did I get a faulty unit?

Li-ion cells perform below rated capacity for the first several charge cycles while the electrodes condition. A pack that appears to fade quickly in the first three to five shifts is usually still within normal break-in behaviour, not defective. Run three full charge-discharge cycles — charge to 100% in the cradle, use through a normal shift, repeat. Capacity figures stabilise after that, and you can compare shift endurance against your previous battery to confirm performance.
