Fits IZZO Swami 4000 golf GPS handheld navigator; replaces OEM part number H603450H.
3.7V 1000mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers enough charge for eighteen-hole rounds on typical course navigation mode.
Connector snaps into the Swami 4000 battery slot with positive terminal facing outward; locking tab seats flush against the device frame.
We bench-tested this pack through five full charge cycles; BMS drew steady current until cutoff and showed no premature shutdown errors.
After fitting this cell, power the GPS fully on outdoors and allow it to acquire a satellite fix before play — cold start after power interruption requires five to ten minutes versus under one minute for warm starts thereafter.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

IZZO Swami 4000 Golf GPS — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (H603450H)

This 3.7V 1000mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the original battery in the IZZO Swami 4000 and Swami 4000 Golf GPS handheld navigator. It restores power to the unit so golfers can continue using course mapping, distance-to-green, and hazard yardage functions without replacing the whole device. Voltage and capacity match the OEM spec exactly — 3.7V, 1000mAh (3.7Wh).

  • Swami 4000 and Swami 4000 Golf GPS fit: Both models run the same 3.7V single-cell LiPo architecture, use the same H603450H cell footprint (49.30 × 33.60 × 5.90mm), and share the same BMS voltage thresholds — one replacement covers both variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Swami 4000 platform, confirming the BMS accepted the cell without a protection-trip fault and that voltage stayed within the expected 3.0V–4.2V window across the full cycle.
  • First-fix satellite acquisition after swap: After fitting this cell, power the unit on outdoors and let it run a full cold-start satellite acquisition before your round. A cold start after full power removal can take 5–10 minutes for the first fix — subsequent warm starts drop back under a minute once ephemeris data is cached.

GPS accuracy reduced at low battery on the Swami 4000

When cell voltage drops toward the 3.0V cutoff threshold, some GPS units throttle receiver sensitivity to reduce current draw. On the Swami 4000, this can show up as yardage readings that jump or fail to update smoothly on the green. The fix is not recalibration — it is simply that the battery no longer holds enough charge to sustain full receiver power. A fresh cell at full voltage restores consistent position accuracy.

Swami 4000 shuts off without a low-battery warning

The on-screen battery indicator on the Swami 4000 is calibrated against the original cell's discharge curve. An aged cell drops voltage more steeply in its final 20% of capacity, so the device hits the hardware cutoff voltage before the software warning triggers visually. This is a calibration mismatch between old cell behaviour and the firmware threshold — not a fault with the unit. Fitting a new cell at full capacity re-aligns the discharge curve so the warning appears at the correct point. Check that the cell reads at least 4.1V off the charger before your round.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Swami 4000 deleted my saved course data after I swapped the battery — is it gone for good?

Some course preferences and saved data on the Swami 4000 sit in battery-backed volatile memory, which loses its state the moment power is fully removed. If the data was stored in flash rather than RAM it will survive, but user-set preferences often do not. Reconnect to the IZZO software and re-sync your course library — this restores downloaded course maps even if local preferences reset. Check the IZZO companion app for a full course re-download to the device.

Satellite lock is taking much longer than usual after fitting this replacement cell — what's happening?

This is a normal cold-start behaviour, not a fault with the new cell. When the Swami 4000 loses all power, it discards its cached satellite ephemeris data and has to rebuild it from scratch on the next power-on. That first cold-start fix typically takes 5–10 minutes outdoors with a clear sky view, versus under a minute for a warm start. Power the unit on outside at least 10 minutes before your tee time to let it complete the initial acquisition.

My Swami 4000 drains noticeably faster during an active round than it does sitting in the cart — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong — this is expected load behaviour. With the GPS receiver actively polling satellites, the processor calculating real-time yardages, and the display backlight on, current draw is significantly higher than standby. The gap becomes more noticeable as a cell ages and its usable capacity shrinks. Reduce display brightness to the lowest comfortable setting and disable any unnecessary features between shots — this is the most effective way to extend available charge across 18 holes.
