Fits Klarstein 210XR, Cleantouch 210XR, Cleantouch KV8 210C, KV8 210C cordless vacuums; replaces OEM battery CS-KSB002VX.
14.4V 3500mAh Ni-MH pack delivers consistent voltage to the motor under sustained suction load without premature cutoff.
Slide connector matches the dock charging contact and locking tab on the 210XR handle grip with no modification needed.
We bench-tested this Ni-MH cell on the Klarstein charger — BMS accepted full charge in standard cycle, voltage held steady under motor draw.
Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock after reaching full charge; continuous trickle charge degrades Ni-MH capacity within weeks, so remove it once fully charged.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Klarstein 210XR Series — 14.4V Ni-MH 3500mAh Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V Ni-MH battery pack rated at 3500mAh (50.4Wh) for Klarstein cordless stick and handheld vacuums. It fits the 210XR, Cleantouch 210XR, Cleantouch KV8 210C, and KV8 210C models. When the original pack loses capacity or refuses to charge, this replacement restores the vacuum to working condition without replacing the whole unit.

  • 210XR and KV8 210C platform compatibility: These models share the same 14.4V battery rail, connector format, and BMS handshake requirements. The cell chemistry is Ni-MH throughout the range, so voltage ramp-up behaviour on charge is consistent across all listed models.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge cycles and monitored BMS cutoff behaviour under simulated motor load. The protection circuit tripped correctly at current thresholds and resumed after load cleared — no false trips under normal suction draw.
  • Dock charging habit on the 210XR: Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock permanently. Ni-MH cells on continuous trickle charge develop capacity fade faster than cells charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.

Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when the motor draws more current than the BMS expects, usually because the filter is partially blocked. Restricted airflow forces the motor to work harder, pulling higher current and causing the BMS to reduce output voltage before the cell is actually depleted. The vacuum feels like it's dying early, but the battery still has charge. Clean or replace the filter first — if suction recovers, the battery was not the cause.

Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is sustained against a blockage or heavily loaded carpet, current spikes past the protection threshold and the BMS shuts off output to protect the cells. After a few seconds the BMS resets and power returns. Clear any blockage, check the filter, and avoid holding the vacuum stationary against a blocked inlet. If trips continue on a clean filter, check that battery voltage after a full charge reads at or above 14.4V with a multimeter.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Klarstein 210XR has noticeably shorter cleaning sessions with the new battery than it used to — is something wrong?

A partially blocked filter is the most common cause. When airflow is restricted, the motor draws more current than rated, which drains the pack faster and can trigger early BMS cutoff before the cells are actually empty. Remove and clean the filter thoroughly, then run a full charge cycle before testing again. If sessions are still short, measure resting voltage after a full charge — it should read at or above 14.4V.

The replacement battery charges fine but the vacuum motor cuts out and then comes back on its own after a few seconds — what's happening?

That's a BMS overcurrent trip. The protection circuit cuts output when current spikes above its threshold — usually triggered by sustained suction against a blockage or a clogged filter forcing the motor to work harder. The BMS resets itself after a brief pause, which is why power returns. Clear any blockage, clean the filter, and test again; if the trips stop, the battery is functioning correctly.

My Klarstein 210XR battery used to last a full clean but now it fades much faster — the vacuum has been sitting on the dock between every use.

Continuous dock charging is the likely cause. Ni-MH cells degrade faster under constant trickle charge than cells that are charged only when depleted. Once capacity has faded from this pattern, it does not fully recover. With this replacement pack, charge to full and remove it from the dock — do not leave it docked overnight or between short uses.
