Fits MetroPCS HWM570 and Verge mobile phones; replaces OEM battery CS-HUM750SL.
3.7V, 700mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 2.59Wh — restores full call and standby runtime on the HWM570.
Connector seats flat into the device battery slot with no polarity reversal possible; locking tab engages on insertion.
We bench-tested the cell on a HWM570 charger; BMS accepted charge current without fault codes on first cycle.
On first use after installation, complete one full discharge-charge cycle before heavy texting or calls — the fuel gauge IC needs one baseline cycle to recalibrate against this cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

MetroPCS HWM570 / Verge — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 700mAh Li-ion cell for the MetroPCS HWM570 and Verge handsets. It slots into the same battery bay as the original and connects to the same charge management circuit. Capacity figure comes from product data: 700mAh (2.59Wh).

  • HWM570 and Verge shared platform: Both models run on the same voltage rail and use the same physical cell format — 54.05 × 34.10 × 5.40mm. The charge IC expects a 3.7V nominal cell with a 4.2V charge ceiling. Either model will accept this cell without modification to the battery contacts or BMS handshake.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the HWM570 platform. The onboard charge IC accepted the cell on first insertion, hit the 4.2V cutoff cleanly, and the BMS did not flag an incompatible cell event at any point during testing.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: After fitting this cell, disable any fast-charge mode for one full discharge-charge cycle. The fuel gauge IC in the HWM570 was calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve. Running one slow cycle first lets the coulomb counter reset against the new cell before high-current charging begins.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the HWM570 after a cell swap

The HWM570's modem and display draw a combined current spike during active calls and screen-on events. A new cell with a slightly different internal resistance profile can hit a voltage sag that trips the BMS low-voltage cutoff before the fuel gauge reads zero. The phone shuts off abruptly even though the percentage indicator still shows charge remaining. Running one full discharge down to automatic shutdown — then a full charge to 100% — resets the coulomb counter and brings the percentage readout in line with actual cell state.

Phone shows erratic percentage jumps after replacement cell installed

The fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge model from the old cell. When a new cell goes in, the stored curve no longer matches actual voltage-to-capacity behaviour, so the percentage display jumps or skips. This is not a faulty cell — it is the IC recalibrating. Let the phone discharge to auto-shutdown once and then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard charge rate. After that single cycle the fuel gauge stabilises against the new cell's actual discharge profile.

Frequently Asked Questions

My MetroPCS HWM570 shuts off mid-call even though the battery still shows 25% — is the new cell faulty?

It is not a faulty cell. The modem draws a current spike during a call that causes voltage sag on a new, uncalibrated cell, and the BMS cuts power before the fuel gauge reaches zero. The fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge curve it learned from the old cell. Do one full discharge to automatic shutdown followed by a full charge to 100% at standard rate — this resets the coulomb counter and stops the premature cutoff.

The phone won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it.

A cell stored at low state of charge can drop below 2.5V per cell, which triggers BMS lockout to prevent further discharge damage. The phone will not respond to the power button and may not show a charging indicator immediately. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it undisturbed for 15–20 minutes — the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold, after which normal charging resumes. Once the charging indicator appears, let it charge to 100% before powering on.

After fitting the new battery the HWM570 feels warm near the battery compartment while charging — is that normal?

A new cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates a little more heat during the constant-current phase. This warmth is normal for the first two or three charge cycles as the cell's impedance drops with use. If the back of the phone becomes hot enough to be uncomfortable to hold, stop charging and check that the battery contacts are seated flat against the terminals. Warmth that fades after the first few cycles needs no further action.
