Fits MTC Android and Evo smartphones; replaces OEM battery CS-HUM750SL.
3.7V, 700mAh Li-ion cell delivers standard daily usage on legacy Android devices.
Connector seats flush into battery slot; no locking tab — slides in straight.
We bench-tested this cell across three charge cycles; BMS accepted input on cycle two without fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

MTC Android / Evo — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 700mAh (2.59Wh) Li-ion replacement cell for MTC Android and Evo smartphones. It fits devices that accept a 54.05 x 34.10 x 5.40mm cell with a standard Li-ion charge profile. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds enough charge to get through normal daily use.

  • Android and Evo compatibility: Both models share the same cell footprint, voltage rail, and connector pinout — one replacement cell covers either device without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on compatible hardware. The BMS accepted the standard Li-ion charge profile, reached full charge without tripping protection, and held voltage within spec across the discharge curve.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. The new cell hits a voltage cliff under modem or screen load at a different state-of-charge than the IC expects. The phone interprets that voltage drop as a fault and shuts down before the percentage reaches zero. Run one full discharge cycle without interruption — let the phone drain until it shuts itself off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — and the IC will recalibrate to the new curve.

Phone reporting wrong battery percentage after cell swap

The fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge profile for the original cell. After a cell swap, the IC reads voltage against the old profile and reports an inaccurate state of charge — often jumping erratically or showing 100% until a sudden drop. One complete uninterrupted discharge-to-charge cycle resets the coulomb counter against the new cell. After that cycle, percentage readings stabilise. If the phone has a dedicated battery stats reset option in developer settings, run that before the calibration cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

My MTC Android won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?

The BMS has most likely tripped into lockout after the cell voltage dropped below 2.5V during storage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs time to trickle current into the cell and bring it above the BMS recovery threshold before the phone will respond. If the device shows no charge indicator after 45 minutes on a wall adapter, the cell has discharged too deeply for automatic recovery.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I charged this replacement cell — was it working before?

On the first cycle, some proprietary fast-charge protocols are not accepted by a new BMS until the cell has completed at least one standard charge cycle. The charge IC negotiates voltage with the charger, and a new, uncalibrated cell often causes the IC to fall back to standard 5V charging as a precaution. Charge once at standard speed using the original wall adapter — not a third-party fast charger — then check whether fast charge resumes on the second cycle.

The phone feels noticeably warm near the battery while charging the new cell — is that a problem?

A new Li-ion cell typically has slightly higher internal impedance than a well-cycled cell, which generates more heat as the charge IC pushes current through it on the first few cycles. Mild warmth during charging is normal and decreases as the cell breaks in over two to three cycles. If the phone becomes hot enough to be uncomfortable to hold, stop the charge, let it cool to room temperature, and switch to a lower-current charger — a 5W adapter keeps charge current low while the cell's impedance drops.
