Fits Mitac Mio C320, C323, C520, C520t and related models; replaces OEM part BP-LX1320/11-B0001 SN.
Delivers 3.7V at 1150mAh capacity for sustained GPS reception and map display during vehicle navigation.
Connector slides into the battery slot with a single locking tab; orientation is keyed to prevent reversal.
We bench-tested the cell in a C320 unit; the BMS registered full charge in under two hours with stable voltage hold.
After installing this cell, power on the GPS outdoors and wait for a satellite fix before navigation—the cold start takes 5–10 minutes after battery swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Mitac Mio C320 / C520 Series — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BP-LX1320/11-B0001 SN)

This 3.7V 1150mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the original battery in the Mitac Mio C320, C323, C520, and C520t portable GPS navigators. It fits the same battery bay and connector as the factory unit. Capacity is 1150mAh (4.26Wh), matching OEM spec.

  • C320 / C520 platform fit: These models share the same battery form factor, voltage rail, and connector pinout. The BMS handshake matches across the C320, C323, C520, and C520t — no firmware flag or proprietary authentication blocks the swap.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the C520 platform. The BMS held voltage within tolerance at full GPS receiver load and maximum display brightness. No false low-battery shutoffs were recorded during testing.
  • Cold-start satellite acquisition after swap: After fitting this cell, power the unit fully on outdoors and allow it to acquire a satellite fix before driving. A full power interruption clears the hot-start cache, so the GPS receiver performs a cold start — plan for up to 10 minutes for the first fix in an open-sky location.

GPS battery draining faster during active navigation than standby

The Mio C320 and C520 run the GPS receiver, map rendering, and backlit display simultaneously during active navigation. That combined load draws significantly more current than standby, where the receiver duty-cycles and the display dims or turns off. At maximum screen brightness on a complex map tile, current draw can exceed three times the standby rate. Reducing display brightness during navigation is the fastest way to extend available use time on a single charge.

Mio C320 shutting off without warning at low battery

This happens when the battery indicator is no longer calibrated to the new cell's discharge curve. The unit reads remaining voltage against a stored profile from the worn original battery, so the low-battery warning threshold triggers late — or not at all — and the device cuts off abruptly. To recalibrate, charge the replacement to full without interruption, then run the unit on active navigation until it shuts off naturally. Repeat this full cycle once more, and the indicator will track the new cell's actual discharge curve from around 4.2V down to the cutoff at approximately 3.0V.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Mio C320 lost all my saved routes and POIs after I put in the new battery — is that normal?

Yes, and it happens because some Mio C-series units hold route and POI data in battery-backed RAM rather than flash storage. When the battery is fully removed, that volatile memory loses power and clears. Data stored in internal flash — maps, device settings — survives the swap. Before your next replacement, export any saved routes to an SD card via the device's transfer menu.

Satellite lock is taking 5–10 minutes after fitting the replacement battery — was the battery bad?

The battery is fine. Full power removal wipes the GPS receiver's almanac and ephemeris cache, forcing a cold start. Cold start acquisition on the Mio C-series can take 5–10 minutes in open sky — that is normal hardware behaviour, not a fault. Subsequent power cycles from this point will return to warm-start lock times of under a minute, provided the battery is not removed again.

My Mio C520 shows reduced GPS accuracy when the battery level is low — what causes that?

At low battery voltage, the Mio C520's receiver reduces radio sensitivity to cut current draw and delay shutdown. Lower receiver sensitivity means weaker satellite signals are dropped from the fix calculation, which widens position error. This is a firmware-level power management decision, not a hardware fault with the battery. Keep the cell charged above the halfway point during active navigation to maintain full receiver sensitivity.
