Fits MyPhone Fun 2 and Next-S smartphones; replaces OEM BM-01 battery pack.
This 3.7V 1800mAh cell delivers 6.66Wh to run calling, messaging, and apps on your Fun 2 without hardware replacement.
Connector seats flat against the phone's internal contact strip with a single locking tab on the left edge.
We ran the BM-01 through a full discharge cycle on a Fun 2 bench unit; the fuel gauge IC tracked voltage drop cleanly with no early cutoff signals.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this recalibrates the fuel gauge IC against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

MyPhone Fun 2 / Next-S — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BM-01)

This is a 3.7V, 1800mAh Li-ion replacement cell for the MyPhone Fun 2 and Next-S smartphones. Part number BM-01 matches the original factory specification. It restores calling, messaging, and app performance when the stock battery has degraded or stopped holding charge.

  • Fun 2 and Next-S compatibility: Both models share the BM-01 cell format — same voltage rail, same connector orientation, and the same charge IC on the motherboard. One replacement covers both devices without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Fun 2 platform. The BMS accepted charge handshake normally, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff — no anomalous behaviour at full load.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging starts — skipping this step causes percentage drift and early shutdowns.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on a replacement BM-01 cell

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. The new cell hits a voltage cliff — where terminal voltage drops sharply under modem or screen load — at a different state-of-charge than the IC expects. The phone reads 25% but the actual cell voltage has already fallen below the modem's operating floor. One full discharge to automatic cutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the coulomb counter to reset against the new cell's actual curve.

Phone warm near the battery during the first few charging sessions

A new BM-01 cell typically has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell. The charge IC compensates by pushing slightly more voltage, which dissipates as heat until impedance drops after a few cycles. This is normal for the first two to three charges and not a fault in the replacement cell. If warmth persists beyond the third full charge cycle, check that the charge port is clean and that no debris is trapping heat against the back cover.

Frequently Asked Questions

My MyPhone Fun 2 shuts off at around 25% battery after I put in the new BM-01 — why does it cut out with charge still showing?

The fuel gauge IC inside the Fun 2 is still running the discharge curve it learned from your old, degraded cell. The new BM-01 hits a voltage cliff at a different point, so the phone's modem drops out before the gauge reaches zero. Run one complete discharge — let the phone shut itself off — then charge uninterrupted to 100% without fast charging enabled. That single cycle resets the coulomb counter against the new cell's actual voltage profile and eliminates the early cutoff.

My Fun 2 isn't switching on at all after the replacement BM-01 sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it — is the battery dead?

A Li-ion cell stored uncharged will self-discharge below 2.5V per cell, which triggers BMS lockout to prevent damage. The phone won't respond to the power button because the protection circuit has cut the output. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20 to 30 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage recovers above the BMS unlock threshold, typically around 2.9V, at which point normal charging resumes.

The battery percentage on my Next-S jumps around erratically — shows 60%, drops to 40%, then climbs back — after fitting the BM-01. Is the cell faulty?

The erratic reading is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating, not a defective cell. The IC is interpolating between data points from the old cell's map and the new cell's actual voltage readings, which don't match — so the displayed percentage oscillates. Complete two full discharge-and-charge cycles with fast charging off and the phone running normally between them. After the second cycle the coulomb counter has enough real data from the BM-01's discharge curve to report a stable percentage.
