Fits Navitel MS700 GPS navigator; replaces OEM battery part number HR504080.
3.7V 1500mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers 5.55Wh for sustained navigation on vehicle routes.
Connector slides into the MS700 battery slot with flat contact alignment; locking tab secures from above.
We bench-tested this cell in the MS700 receiver stack; BMS passed initial voltage handshake without fault codes.
After installation, power the GPS fully on outdoors and allow it to acquire a satellite fix before navigation — cold start after battery swap takes 5–10 minutes for first fix versus under a minute for warm starts afterward.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Navitel MS700 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (HR504080)

This 3.7V 1500mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the OEM HR504080 battery in the Navitel MS700 GPS navigator. It fits the MS700's internal battery bay directly and restores full power to the navigation display, GPS receiver, and map storage. Capacity matches the original at 1500mAh (5.55Wh).

  • MS700 platform fit: The HR504080 cell is specific to the MS700's compact battery compartment — 60.00 × 37.40 × 5.40mm. The connector polarity and voltage rail match the MS700 power management circuit, so the device reads charge state correctly from first boot.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the MS700's charge and discharge circuit. The BMS held the cutoff threshold correctly and the device reported charge percentage without erratic jumps across the full discharge curve.
  • Cold-start after power interruption: After fitting this cell, power the MS700 on outdoors and let it acquire a satellite fix before driving. The GPS performs a full cold start after any complete power removal — first fix takes 5–10 minutes. Subsequent warm starts drop back under a minute once almanac data is cached.

GPS accuracy reduced as battery voltage drops on the MS700

At low battery, the MS700 scales back receiver sensitivity to reduce current draw. This shows up as increased position scatter or a slower fix when the battery indicator is in the bottom quarter. The GPS receiver requires stable voltage to maintain full signal processing — a degraded original battery causes this even when the indicator reads 20–30%. A fresh HR504080 cell holds the voltage above the threshold the receiver needs for full sensitivity through most of its discharge curve.

MS700 shuts off without low-battery warning

This happens when the battery's actual discharge curve no longer matches the voltage-to-percentage table the MS700 uses to estimate remaining charge. An aged cell loses voltage suddenly in the final 15–20% of capacity, so the device hits the hardware cutoff voltage — around 3.0V — before the software warning triggers. Replacing with a new HR504080 cell re-aligns the discharge curve to what the firmware expects. After fitting, run one full charge cycle to let the indicator recalibrate.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Navitel MS700 lost all my saved routes after I replaced the battery — is there any way to get them back?

Saved routes on the MS700 are stored in flash memory, not battery-backed RAM, so they survive a full power removal. If routes are missing after a swap, the more likely cause is that the device reset to factory defaults during the power interruption — check the map software's backup folder on the internal storage or SD card. Re-importing a previously exported route file restores them. Before your next swap, export your routes to the SD card as a precaution.

My MS700 is taking 8–10 minutes to find satellites after fitting the new battery — is something wrong with the GPS?

Nothing is wrong. A complete power removal clears the satellite almanac the MS700 caches in memory, forcing a cold start. Cold starts on the MS700 take 5–10 minutes outdoors with a clear sky view — this is normal and happens once. After the first successful fix, the almanac is written back to storage and subsequent warm starts return to under a minute. Stay stationary outdoors for the first fix after fitting any new battery.

The MS700 drains much faster when I'm actively navigating than when it's just sitting on — why?

Active navigation runs the GPS receiver at full sensitivity, keeps the display lit, and refreshes map tiles continuously — this combination draws significantly more current than standby. Screen brightness is the biggest single variable: dropping display brightness by 50% noticeably reduces drain during long trips. If drain still seems excessive, check whether the MS700's screen timeout is disabled — leaving the display on permanently during navigation accounts for a large portion of the total current draw.
