Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Oppo A57 5G — 3.87V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BLP915)
The BLP915 is a 3.87V, 4900mAh Li-Polymer cell that fits the Oppo A57 5G, A57 5G 2022, and PFTM20 variants. It replaces the original battery when capacity has dropped or the cell no longer holds a charge. Rated at 18.96Wh, it restores power to the display, processor, and 5G modem stack.
- A57 5G, A57 5G 2022, and PFTM20 fitment: All three share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers the full platform without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled the BLP915 through charge and discharge on a live A57 5G unit. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and the charge IC stepped through trickle, CC, and CV phases correctly.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging for one full discharge-charge cycle. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current fast charging begins pushing current into an uncalibrated register.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% after replacing the BLP915
A fresh Li-Polymer cell has a steeper voltage curve near the bottom of its charge window than an aged cell. The A57 5G's fuel gauge IC is still running the old cell's calibration table, so it misreads remaining capacity. When the 5G modem or display pulls a current spike, the cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold before the OS has registered low battery — the phone shuts off without warning. Run one complete discharge to near shutdown, then a full uninterrupted charge to 100%. After that cycle the coulomb counter recalibrates and the early shutdowns stop.
USB-PD or VOOC fast charge not triggering on the first cycle
Oppo's proprietary fast charge protocol requires a BMS handshake before the adapter steps up current. On a new, unconditioned cell, the BMS may respond conservatively and keep the charge path in standard 5V mode for the first cycle. This is normal behaviour — the BMS is not defective. Plug in using the original Oppo cable and adapter, let the first charge complete fully without interruption, and fast charging will activate from the second cycle onward once the BMS registers a full initialisation event.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Oppo A57 5G shuts off at around 25% after I put in the new BLP915 — is the battery faulty?
The battery is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC in the A57 5G is still reading the discharge curve of your old, degraded cell, so it reports incorrect capacity on the new one. Under a modem or display load spike, the cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff before the OS logs a low-battery warning. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — after that cycle the coulomb counter recalibrates and the premature shutdowns stop.
The battery percentage jumps around erratically — it reads 60%, then skips to 45% a few minutes later. What causes that?
Erratic percentage jumps are a fuel gauge IC recalibration issue, not a cell defect. The IC uses a stored charge-capacity table built from your previous battery's behaviour, and the new BLP915 cell has a different internal resistance profile. The gauge loses track when voltage swings don't match its expected curve. Complete two full discharge-charge cycles without interruption and the IC will rewrite its reference table to match the new cell — the jumping stops once it has enough data points.
The phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat uninstalled for a few weeks. Nothing happens when I press power.
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the BLP915 dropped below roughly 2.5V while sitting uninstalled, the BMS has entered lockout mode to prevent damage to the cell. Connect the original Oppo charger and leave it plugged in for at least 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage climbs above the BMS recovery threshold. Once voltage reaches approximately 3.0V, the BMS resets and the phone will power on normally.
