Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Poco C40 / 220333QPG — 3.87V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BN66)
This is a 5800mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Poco C40 (model 220333QPG). It runs at 3.87V nominal and outputs 22.45Wh, matching the original cell spec. The BN66 part number covers both C40 hardware variants on the same board revision.
- C40 and 220333QPG compatibility: Both device identifiers reference the same PCB layout, connector pinout, and battery contact placement. The flex connector and BMS communication lines are identical across the two designations, so one cell fits both.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on a C40 unit and confirmed BMS handshake, charge acceptance from the PMIC, and correct voltage reporting at each SOC step. The cell held stable voltage under display and modem load without tripping BMS overcurrent protection.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installing this cell, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated counter — without it, percentage readings drift early.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the C40 after a cell swap
The C40's fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve of the original cell after a replacement. When the phone expects a voltage cliff at one SOC point but the new cell hits it earlier, the PMIC cuts power before the display shows 0%. This is not a defective cell — it is a calibration mismatch between the coulomb counter and the new chemistry. Run one full discharge without fast charging, then charge to 100% uninterrupted. After that cycle, the gauge re-anchors to the new cell and shutdown shifts back to the correct low-voltage threshold near 3.4V per cell.
USB fast charge not activating on the first cycle after replacement
On the first charge after installation, the C40's PMIC may default to standard 5V charging rather than negotiating the higher voltage fast-charge profile. This happens because the BMS on a new cell starts in a conservative state until it logs one complete charge cycle. Connect to the original charger and let the first charge complete fully without interrupting it. After that cycle, fast charging resumes at the normal negotiated rate — confirm by checking the charging speed notification at around 3.87–4.0V cell voltage.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Poco C40 shows 25% battery and then just shuts off without warning — is that the new cell?
That is a fuel gauge mismatch, not a bad cell. The coulomb counter in the C40 was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so it misjudges the voltage cliff on the new one and the PMIC cuts power early. Run one full discharge to zero followed by a complete charge to 100% with fast charging turned off. After that single cycle, the gauge recalibrates and the premature shutdown stops.
The battery percentage on my C40 jumps around after I fitted the new cell — it went from 60% to 44% in two minutes without me doing anything.
The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against the new cell's impedance profile and has not yet built a reliable discharge map. This is normal for the first two or three cycles after any cell swap on the C40. Keep the phone in normal use and complete two full discharge-charge cycles with fast charging disabled. After that, the coulomb counter locks onto the new curve and percentage reporting stabilises.
My C40 feels warm near the battery area while charging with the new cell — should I be concerned?
A new high-impedance cell generates slightly more heat during the first few charge cycles as the charge IC pushes current into a cell it has not yet characterised. On the C40, surface warmth around the battery bay in the first two or three charges is within normal range. If the phone exceeds noticeable hot-to-touch temperature rather than mild warmth, remove the case to allow heat dissipation and charge at a lower wattage until the cell is cycled in. After two full cycles, charging temperature drops to the same level as the original cell.
