Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Wiko Rakuten Mini / C330 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (TJL2004)
This is a 3.85V, 1150mAh Li-Polymer cell for the Wiko Rakuten Mini and C330 smartphones. It replaces OEM part number TJL2004, which sits inside the compact body of the Rakuten Mini. If your phone shuts down early, charges slowly, or drains faster than it used to, the original cell has degraded and this swap restores the hardware to spec.
- Rakuten Mini and C330 fitment: Both models share the same compact chassis, the same 3.85V power rail, and the same connector pinout. The BMS handshake and charge IC thresholds are identical across the two, so one cell covers both without any modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the Rakuten Mini platform. The BMS accepted charge immediately, charge termination triggered correctly at 4.35V, and the protection circuit tripped cleanly at low-voltage cutoff without latching the BMS into lockout.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This allows the fuel gauge IC to map the new cell's discharge curve before fast-charge current is applied to an uncalibrated state.
Why the Rakuten Mini reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The Rakuten Mini uses a fuel gauge IC that tracks capacity through a coulomb counter calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve. When you install a new cell, the stored curve no longer matches the actual voltage-to-capacity relationship of the fresh battery. The IC makes incorrect estimates — typically showing more charge than exists at mid-range, then dropping suddenly. One full discharge down to automatic shutdown, followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%, resets the counter reference point and brings percentage readings back into alignment.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the modem radio or screen draws a current spike the cell cannot sustain without the terminal voltage collapsing below the BMS cutoff threshold. The fuel gauge still reports 20–30% remaining, but the cell's internal resistance under load causes an instantaneous voltage drop that triggers shutdown. It is most common in the first few cycles before the cell conditions. If it persists past three full cycles, verify the installed cell dimensions match 45.90 × 40.10 × 4.55mm — a slight mismatch can cause poor contact and elevated resistance at the terminal.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Rakuten Mini won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?
It is likely in BMS lockout from deep discharge, not a dead cell. When a Li-Polymer cell drops below roughly 2.5V, the protection circuit disconnects output to prevent damage and will not automatically recover. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold, at which point the circuit reconnects and the phone will power on normally.
Fast charging stopped working on the Rakuten Mini after I fitted this battery — it only charges slowly now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the USB-PD negotiation or the phone's proprietary fast-charge protocol can fall back to standard rate because the BMS presents different impedance characteristics than the aged cell it replaced. This is not a fault with the battery. Complete one full standard-rate charge cycle to 100%, then disconnect and let the phone cool to ambient temperature. Reconnect with the original fast charger and fast charging will resume once the charge IC has profiled the new cell.
The battery percentage on my Rakuten Mini jumps around erratically — it went from 45% to 12% in two minutes.
The fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve it learned from the old, degraded cell. The coulomb counter references voltage thresholds that no longer match the new cell's chemistry, so percentage estimates become unstable — especially in the 40–15% range where voltage drops steeply on a fresh cell. Run two complete discharge-charge cycles without interruption at standard charge rate. After the second full cycle, the IC recalibrates its reference and percentage readings stabilise.
