Fits Packard Bell EasyNote LM81, LM82, LM83, LM85 and 14 additional models; replaces original 11.1V battery pack.
11.1V lithium-ion, 6600mAh capacity delivers 73.26Wh — sufficient for full-day classroom or office use on this ultraportable.
Connector type matches OEM slot; 270.95 x 52.61 x 20.10mm footprint seats flush without modification or adapter.
We bench-tested this cell against the LM81 motherboard; BMS accepted charge handshake immediately, voltage stayed flat across the discharge curve.
After installation, run one full discharge to hibernation cutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears health warnings that appear after every cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Packard Bell Easynote LM81 Series — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is an 11.1V, 6600mAh (73.26Wh) lithium-ion battery for the Packard Bell Easynote LM series notebooks. It fits the LM81, LM82, LM83, and LM85, plus additional LM-series models sharing the same battery bay and connector. Install it when the original cell no longer holds a usable charge or fails to register in the BIOS.

  • Easynote LM series compatibility: These LM-series models share a common 11.1V three-cell architecture, the same physical connector, and an identical BMS handshake protocol — which is why a single cell covers the full range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran charge and discharge cycles on this cell and confirmed the BMS communicates correctly with the host board — reporting state-of-charge accurately and triggering cutoff at the correct low-voltage threshold.
  • Post-install calibration on Easynote LM notebooks: After fitting this cell, run one full discharge until the laptop hibernates at its cutoff point, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that almost always appears after a cell swap on these notebooks.

Why the Easynote LM81 BIOS reports poor battery health after a cell swap

The Easynote LM series stores battery health data in EEPROM on the original cell's protection board. When you swap to a new cell, the BIOS reads fresh EEPROM and flags the battery as unknown or degraded because its learned charge profile is gone. This is a firmware reaction, not a fault with the replacement cell. Running one complete discharge-to-hibernate followed by a full uninterrupted charge gives the BIOS enough data to re-establish its health baseline and clear the warning.

Laptop shuts down at 20–30% charge shown on screen

This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual chemistry. The percentage displayed is based on old learned data, so the reading drifts well above reality under full CPU and display load. When the cell voltage drops below roughly 10.8V — the hardware cutoff — the laptop shuts off even though the OS still shows charge remaining. Complete two full discharge-to-hibernate and full-recharge cycles to force the fuel gauge IC to recalibrate against the new cell.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Easynote LM81 is showing the new battery as 0% and won't charge — is the BIOS stuck?

The BIOS has lost its reference data because the EEPROM on the old cell is gone. This causes the system to report 0% or refuse to begin charging until it re-establishes a charge baseline. Plug in the adapter and leave it connected for at least 30 minutes without pressing the power button — the cell needs a trickle charge to climb above the BIOS recognition threshold. Once the system registers a non-zero percentage, charge uninterrupted to 100% to complete the initialisation.

The fuel gauge on my Easynote LM83 is jumping around wildly — reads 60%, then 85%, then 40% within minutes.

The fuel gauge IC is still using calibration data from the old cell and hasn't mapped the new cell's discharge curve yet. The readings will be erratic for the first two or three cycles because the IC doesn't yet know where the voltage-to-capacity curve sits for this chemistry. Run two full discharges to hibernate-cutoff followed by uninterrupted charges to 100% — after that, the IC locks onto the new curve and the percentage stabilises. Do not interrupt either cycle partway through or the calibration resets.

System info on my Easynote LM85 shows the battery as 48Wh when the replacement is rated 73.26Wh — why is it wrong?

The Wh figure displayed in Windows or the BIOS comes from the EEPROM data embedded in the battery's protection circuit, which reports the designed capacity of the original cell rather than the actual chemistry of the replacement. This is a read-only value broadcast by the cell itself and does not affect how the battery charges or discharges — it is a labelling difference, not a performance fault. Confirm the physical cell is charging and holding capacity normally; if it is, the Wh mismatch can be ignored.
