Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Philips SpeedPro / SpeedPro Aqua — 21.6V Li-ion Replacement Battery (INR18650C25)
This is a 21.6V, 2500mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Philips SpeedPro and SpeedPro Aqua cordless stick vacuums. It fits FC6726/01, FC6725/01, and a further 16 confirmed models in the SpeedPro range. When the original cell degrades and suction drops noticeably on a full charge, this is the direct swap.
- SpeedPro and SpeedPro Aqua compatibility: Both the dry and wet-dry SpeedPro variants run the same 21.6V battery rail and share the same connector and BMS handshake, which is why one cell covers both lines. The Aqua model adds a roller brush motor, so its peak draw is slightly higher — the BMS on this cell handles that without tripping under normal use.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through the SpeedPro platform under full suction load. The BMS held voltage within the expected window across multiple discharge cycles and returned a clean charge acceptance each time without error flags from the charger.
- Dock charging habit on SpeedPro: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock indefinitely between uses. SpeedPro docks do not cut trickle current reliably once the cell is full. Charge to full, then remove from the dock — this alone has the biggest effect on long-term capacity retention.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
This is a voltage sag issue, not a capacity issue. When the motor encounters increased resistance — a partially blocked filter, a dense carpet pile, or a restricted inlet — it pulls more current than rated. The battery voltage dips under that load before the state-of-charge indicator registers as low. The vacuum loses suction but the LED still shows two or three bars. Cleaning or replacing the filter first eliminates the most common cause before attributing the drop to the battery itself.
Motor cuts out mid-clean then restarts after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a faulty battery. Sustained restricted airflow — most often from a clogged filter or blocked brush roll — forces the motor to draw current above the BMS protection threshold. The BMS cuts power to protect the cell, then resets once current demand drops. If the motor restarts cleanly after a short pause, confirm the filter is clear and the brush roll spins freely before assuming the cell is defective. A clear airpath keeps draw within the 21.6V system's rated current envelope.

Frequently Asked Questions
My SpeedPro battery faded fast — could continuous dock charging have caused it?
Yes, that is the most common cause of early capacity loss on the SpeedPro platform. The charging dock does not reliably cut trickle current once the cell reaches full charge, so leaving the vacuum docked between every use keeps the cell at peak voltage for extended periods — the fastest way to degrade lithium-ion capacity. Charge the new battery to full and remove it from the dock rather than leaving it seated permanently. That one change has more impact on long-term capacity than any other variable.
SpeedPro suction feels weak on a full charge — is the replacement battery the problem?
Not necessarily — a blocked filter is a more likely cause. When airflow is restricted, the motor works harder and draws more current, which causes voltage to sag under load even when the cell is fully charged. Pull and clean the filter before drawing any conclusions about the battery. If suction recovers after a filter clean, the cell is fine; if it remains weak on a confirmed-clean filter with a full charge, check that the battery voltage reads at or above 21.6V under no-load conditions.
The charger light does not come on when I connect the new SpeedPro battery — what should I check first?
The SpeedPro charger expects a specific BMS handshake before it initiates a charge cycle. If the replacement cell shipped at a very low state of charge, the charger may not recognise it on first connection. Leave the battery connected to the charger for 10–15 minutes without touching it — some chargers on this platform require a brief pre-charge pulse before the status LED activates. If the light still does not come on, check that the battery contacts are fully seated and the connector clicks into place; a partial connection is the second most common cause of a non-responsive charger on this vacuum line.
