Fits Proscenic Pro coco, Smart 680T, 902S, and 902 NONO models; replaces OEM part E718074.
14.4V Ni-MH chemistry delivers 2500mAh capacity for consistent motor power throughout cleaning cycles.
Connector seats flat into the battery slot with locking tab engagement on both sides.
We ran discharge cycles on the test stand; BMS accepted full charge without fault codes.
Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock continuously — trickle charge degrades Ni-MH capacity permanently; charge to full and remove immediately.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Proscenic Pro coco / Smart 680T / 902S — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (E718074)

This is a 14.4V, 2500mAh (36Wh) Ni-MH replacement battery for the Proscenic Pro coco, Smart 680T, 902S, and 902 NONO cordless stick vacuums. It replaces OEM part number E718074. When the original pack can no longer sustain motor voltage under load, this cell restores the vacuum to full working condition.

  • Pro coco, Smart 680T, 902S, and 902 NONO compatibility: These four models share the same 14.4V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One pack covers all four without any modification or adapter.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the Pro coco platform. The BMS held steady across sustained motor draw and tripped correctly under simulated blockage — no false cutoffs at normal operating load.
  • Dock charging habit on cordless vacuums: Do not leave this vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. Ni-MH cells on continuous trickle charge develop capacity fade significantly faster than cells charged only when depleted. Charge to full and remove from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when the motor draws more current than rated — usually because a partially blocked filter forces the motor to work harder. The BMS reads the elevated draw as a low-voltage event and begins throttling output before the indicator catches up. The indicator tracks cell state-of-charge, not motor load, so the two fall out of sync under restriction. Clean or replace the filter first before assuming the battery is at fault.

Motor cutting out mid-clean and then recovering after a pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — blocked filter, tangled brush roll, or sealed nozzle — motor current spikes above the BMS threshold and the pack shuts down to protect the cells. The brief pause lets the BMS reset and allows the cells to recover voltage above the cutoff floor. Clear the restriction, then restart the vacuum. If the cutout repeats on an unblocked machine, check that the replacement pack voltage reads at least 16.0V fully charged before use.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Proscenic vacuum loses suction halfway through a clean but the battery light still shows full — what's happening?

The battery indicator tracks cell charge level, not motor load. When the filter is even partially blocked, the motor pulls more current than rated, and the BMS throttles output to protect the cells — suction drops while the indicator still reads high. Remove and clean the filter, then run the vacuum again. If suction holds steady after that, the battery is fine and the filter was the cause.

The motor keeps cutting out for a few seconds then coming back on — is the replacement battery faulty?

That behaviour is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a cell failure. Sustained restricted airflow — blocked filter, jammed brush roll, or a sealed nozzle — drives motor current above the BMS cutoff threshold, and the pack shuts down briefly to protect the cells. Clear whatever is causing the restriction and the cutouts will stop. If the pack continues tripping on a fully clear machine, verify the fully charged voltage reads at least 16.0V before ruling out a cell issue.

I left the Proscenic on the dock all the time and now the new battery fades faster than expected — did I get a bad pack?

Continuous dock charging is the most common cause of accelerated capacity fade in Ni-MH vacuum batteries. The charger delivers a low-level trickle current when the pack is full, and Ni-MH cells degrade significantly faster under that sustained low charge than they do from normal cycle use. The pack itself is not defective — the charging habit is the problem. Charge to full, remove the vacuum from the dock, and only return it when the battery is depleted.
