Fits Redmi Note 11 Pro, Note 11i 5G with OEM part number BM5A replacement.
Cell outputs 3.87V at 4900mAh capacity — restores full charge cycles on devices showing capacity loss.
Connector slides into the original battery slot with standard locking tab orientation unchanged.
We bench-tested the BM5A against a depleted original pack; fuel gauge IC read the new cell correctly after one full discharge-charge cycle.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current fast charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Redmi Note 11 Pro / Note 11i 5G — 3.87V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BM5A)

This is a 3.87V, 4900mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Redmi Note 11 Pro (21091116C) and Note 11i 5G (21091116I) smartphones. It replaces part number BM5A and fits the rear-access battery bay on both models. Use this when your original cell no longer holds a useful charge or fails to power on.

  • Note 11 Pro and Note 11i 5G compatibility: Both models share the BM5A cell format — same footprint at 92.30 × 65.65 × 4.65mm, same connector pinout, and same BMS handshake protocol with the PMIC on the main board. A single replacement cell covers both variants.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a Note 11 Pro board. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, the PMIC completed CC/CV charging correctly, and the fuel gauge IC began tracking coulombs from the first cycle.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On the first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This gives the fuel gauge IC accurate reference points against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current fast charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BM5A replacement cell

This is a fuel gauge IC calibration gap, not a faulty cell. The fuel gauge was calibrated to your old, degraded cell's discharge curve — it mapped 20% to a voltage that the new, higher-capacity cell hits much later under load. When the modem fires a high-draw burst or the screen peaks, the reported percentage looks fine but the actual cell voltage collapses below the PMIC cutoff threshold. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown followed by a full charge at standard rate. After that cycle, the coulomb counter resets its reference and the percentage readings align to the new cell.

USB-PD or proprietary fast charge not activating after replacement

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on the Note 11 Pro sometimes stays in trickle mode and will not negotiate fast-charge protocols with the adapter. This happens because the BMS presents high cell impedance on a fresh, unformed cell, and the charge IC interprets that as an abnormal battery state. Plug into the original Redmi adapter and leave the phone on a standard charge overnight without interrupting it. Once the cell completes one full CC/CV cycle, impedance drops into the expected range and fast charging activates normally on subsequent connections.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Redmi Note 11 Pro shows the battery percentage jumping around erratically after I put in the new BM5A — is the cell defective?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC is still referencing the discharge curve of your old cell and is recalculating as it collects new data points from the replacement. Run one uninterrupted full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge fully at standard rate without fast charging enabled. After that single calibration cycle, the coulomb counter has a clean baseline and the percentage jumps stop.

The phone feels warm near the battery area while charging on the new BM5A cell — should I be concerned?

A fresh Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a formed cell, so the charge IC dissipates slightly more energy as heat during the first few CC/CV cycles. This is expected and reduces noticeably after two or three full charge cycles as the cell forms. Keep the phone out of a case during the first couple of charges so heat can dissipate freely. If warmth persists beyond the third full cycle, check that you are using the original Redmi adapter — third-party adapters can push incorrect charge rates.

The Note 11 Pro won't power on at all after the BM5A replacement battery sat unused in storage for a few months — what happened?

Extended storage at low charge levels can drop cell voltage below 2.5V, which triggers BMS lockout — the protection circuit opens and blocks all current flow to prevent damage to an over-discharged cell. Connect the phone to the original Redmi charger and leave it undisturbed for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC applies a trickle pre-charge current that slowly raises cell voltage back above the 2.8V threshold, at which point the BMS closes and normal charging resumes.
