Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BG736BBE)
This is a 3.85V, 3200mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro. It fits SM-G736U, SM-G736U1, SM-G736B, and related variants using OEM part number EB-BG736BBE. The Xcover 6 Pro is a rugged smartphone rated for dust and water exposure, and its battery takes harder daily punishment than a standard consumer handset.
- Xcover 6 Pro series fit: The SM-G736 variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. All listed models accept the EB-BG736BBE cell without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge acceptance, BMS cutoff triggers, and protection circuit response on an SM-G736B. The cell held charge correctly and the BMS responded normally to both standard and fast-charge current.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before fast charge pushes higher current into an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Xcover 6 Pro after a cell swap
A new cell has a slightly different internal resistance curve than the original. When the modem fires up during a call or the screen brightness spikes, current draw climbs fast. If the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell, it reads 25% remaining while the actual cell voltage has already dropped below the system's cutoff threshold. The phone shuts down to protect the hardware, not because the battery is failing. One full discharge-charge cycle at standard rate recalibrates the coulomb counter and eliminates most of these shutdowns. After calibration, the cutoff should no longer trigger above 3.5V under normal load.
USB-PD fast charge not accepted on the first cycle after replacement
After a cell swap, the charge IC on the Xcover 6 Pro sometimes falls back to standard 5V charging on the first cycle. This happens because the BMS on a new cell reports an impedance state the fast-charge negotiation logic treats as out-of-range during initialisation. It is not a fault — it resolves after one full charge at standard rate. On the next plug-in, fast charge re-negotiates correctly. If fast charge still does not engage after two full cycles, check the USB-C port for debris before assuming a BMS issue.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Xcover 6 Pro shows the wrong battery percentage after I swapped the battery — is the new cell faulty?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC in the Xcover 6 Pro stores a discharge model calibrated to the old cell's internal resistance curve. With a new cell installed, that model no longer matches reality, so the percentage reading drifts. Run one complete discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard rate — no fast charging. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter resets against the new cell and the percentage stabilises.
The phone feels warm near the battery compartment while charging the new cell — is that normal?
A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell. During the first few charge cycles, the charge IC pushes current into that higher-impedance cell, and some of that energy dissipates as heat rather than stored charge. Mild warmth — not hot to the touch — is expected for the first two or three sessions. If the phone becomes too hot to hold comfortably, stop charging and check that the replacement cell dimensions match: 73.10 x 62.50 x 6.45mm. Oversized cells pressed into the bay can generate abnormal heat from mechanical stress.
The Xcover 6 Pro won't power on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few weeks before installation.
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters lockout mode to prevent damage. The phone will not respond to the power button in this state. Plug into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC will apply a low pre-charge current to recover the cell above the BMS re-enable threshold. Once the screen shows a charge indicator, the cell has cleared lockout and normal charging resumes.
