Fits Shark SV800, SV800C, and VX63 cordless stick vacuums; replaces OEM part XBT800.
10.8V and 3000mAh capacity deliver consistent motor voltage across carpet and hard floors without mid-cycle sag.
Slides into the vertical charging dock with a single forward motion; connector seats flush with a audible click.
We ran this Ni-MH pack through five full charge-discharge cycles on the SV800; BMS showed no early cutoff or voltage dip anomalies.
Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock permanently — continuous trickle charging degrades Ni-MH capacity significantly faster than removing it when full.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Shark SV800 / VX63 Series — 10.8V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (XBT800)

This is a 10.8V, 3000mAh Ni-MH battery pack for the Shark SV800, SV800C, and VX63 cordless stick vacuums. It replaces OEM part numbers XBT800 and XSB800CH. When the original pack can no longer hold a useful charge, this swap restores full operating voltage to the motor.

  • SV800 and VX63 platform fit: Both models run the same 10.8V motor rail and use the same battery housing and connector arrangement, which is why one pack covers the full range. The BMS on each unit monitors cell voltage and will cut the motor if pack voltage drops below the lower threshold mid-cycle.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on an SV800 chassis. The BMS accepted the cell group without errors, charge termination triggered correctly at full capacity, and the motor drew rated current without tripping overcurrent protection under sustained load.
  • Dock charging habit on the SV800: Leaving the SV800 on its charging dock continuously after the pack reaches full charge accelerates capacity fade in Ni-MH cells. Charge the unit fully, then remove it from the dock. Only return it to charge when the pack is meaningfully depleted.

Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when internal cell resistance has risen enough that the pack can no longer sustain the current the motor demands under load — even though the indicator still shows charge remaining. Voltage at the motor terminals sags under draw, reducing fan speed and suction noticeably. A blocked or dirty filter compounds this: the motor works harder against the restriction, pulling more current and accelerating the voltage sag. Replacing the pack eliminates the cell-resistance issue; clean the filter at the same time to keep motor draw within rated spec.

Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a motor fault. When suction is restricted — by a clogged filter or a blockage in the hose — the motor draws current above the BMS protection threshold, and the BMS disconnects the pack to protect the cells. After a brief pause, the BMS resets and allows the motor to restart. Clearing the blockage and cleaning the filter is the fix. If the trip happens immediately on a clean machine with a new pack, check that the filter is fully seated — a dislodged filter collapses airflow instantly and triggers the same overcurrent event.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Shark SV800 suction drops off well before the battery light shows low — is that a battery problem or a filter problem?

It's usually both working against each other. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which causes voltage at the motor to sag faster as the pack ages and cell resistance rises. A fresh pack handles the extra draw better, but the filter restriction will still shorten effective run time. Clean or replace the foam and felt filters first, then fit the new pack — that combination addresses both causes.

The vacuum runs for a short time, cuts out, then starts again after sitting for a minute — what's causing this?

The BMS is tripping on overcurrent and resetting. When airflow through the machine is restricted by a blockage or a clogged filter, the motor works harder and pulls current above the protection threshold — the BMS disconnects the pack, which looks like a sudden shutoff. After the BMS resets, the motor restarts until the same condition triggers another trip. Check the hose, brush roll, and both filters for blockages before assuming the pack is faulty. Clear the restriction and the cycle stops.

My SV800 pack degraded much faster than expected — I left it on the dock between uses. Did that cause it?

Yes, continuous dock charging is a known cause of accelerated capacity fade in Ni-MH cells. Once the pack reaches full charge, the charger maintains it with a low-level trickle current. Over weeks and months, that sustained low current degrades the cells and reduces total capacity. With the replacement pack, charge to full and lift the vacuum off the dock — only return it to the dock when the pack has been meaningfully discharged. That single habit change will significantly slow capacity loss in the new cells.
