Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Ingenico Move 5000 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (F26402376)
This 3.7V 3000mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original cell in the Ingenico Move 5000, Move 5000s, and Move 5000F mobile payment terminals. It matches OEM part numbers F26402376, PBI61726, and F12433179. Physical dimensions are 66.00 × 31.80 × 24.00mm — confirm fit before installing in a modified enclosure.
- Move 5000 / 5000s / 5000F compatibility: All three variants share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. The terminal's charge IC reads the same authentication handshake across this model family, so one cell covers all three.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the Move 5000's full boot sequence and simulated transaction loads — receipt printer motor engagement, NFC polling, and wireless data bursts. The BMS held rail voltage steady and did not trip overcurrent during combined draw events.
- First-deployment cycle: Complete one full transaction cycle before using the terminal in a live environment. The Move 5000 maps battery capacity during normal operation and requires at least one complete power cycle to calibrate the charge indicator accurately.
Terminal rebooting mid-transaction after battery swap
The Move 5000 pulls a combined load from the receipt printer motor, NFC antenna, and wireless radio simultaneously during a card transaction. On a new cell that hasn't completed its first calibration cycle, the BMS can interpret this combined spike as an overcurrent event and cut output. This is a BMS protection trip, not a faulty battery. Run two or three complete transactions on a full charge first — once the charge IC has profiled the cell, the threshold mapping stabilises and nuisance trips stop.
Terminal not completing PCI boot sequence on a freshly installed battery
The Move 5000 runs a PCI security boot check at startup that draws a brief high-current pulse from the battery. If the cell voltage is below approximately 3.5V when the battery is installed, the terminal may stall or loop at the boot screen before completing initialisation. Connect the terminal to the charging dock immediately after installing the battery and allow it to reach at least 3.6V before powering on. One full charge-to-completion cycle resolves this in almost every case.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Move 5000 battery indicator is stuck at 99% and won't move after a full night on charge — is something wrong with the new cell?
Nothing is wrong. The Move 5000's charge IC enters a top-off mode on a new cell and holds the display at 99% while it trickle-charges the last fraction of capacity. This is normal behaviour on first charge and not a fault with the battery or the terminal. Disconnect from the dock once charging stops, run a normal transaction session, then recharge fully — after that first complete cycle the indicator will track accurately.
The terminal won't power on at all after sitting unused in a drawer for several months — is the battery dead?
Extended storage without use drains a Li-ion cell through self-discharge. If the cell drops below the Move 5000's minimum recovery voltage — around 2.5V — the BMS locks output to prevent damage and the terminal will not respond to the power button. Connect the terminal to its dock and leave it on charge for at least 90 minutes without attempting to power it on. Most cells recover to a functional voltage during that period; if the terminal still won't boot after a full recovery charge, the original cell has deteriorated past the point of recovery and the replacement cell will restore normal operation.
The Move 5000 gets noticeably warm during a busy transaction period — is the battery overheating?
Warmth during sustained transaction loads is expected on this terminal. The combined draw from the colour display, receipt printer, NFC module, and wireless radio generates heat from both the battery cell and the charging circuitry. The BMS monitors cell temperature and will reduce output if internal temperature reaches an unsafe threshold — you would see a slowdown or shutdown before any damage occurs. Keep the terminal out of direct sunlight and away from enclosed surfaces during peak-use periods to help the housing dissipate heat normally.
