Fits Yakumo Delta 300, 300GPS, and GPS 2L PDA models with original 3.7V Li-ion cells.
This 3.7V 1300mAh cell restores full capacity to the Delta 300 after the original pack fails or drops below usable voltage.
Connector seats flush into the battery slot with positive contact on the upper left—no locking tab, slides in and locks mechanically on insertion.
We bench-tested the BMS on a Delta 300 unit; boot sequence fired on first power-on and the charge curve held stable through full discharge cycles.
Sync all open files and contacts to your host computer before removing the old battery—the Delta 300 stores active data in RAM powered by the main cell, and full power loss erases unsaved work.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Yakumo Delta 300 / 300GPS / GPS 2L — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 3.7V 1300mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Yakumo Delta 300, Delta 300GPS, and Delta GPS 2L handheld PDAs. These are early-2000s pocket computers running Windows Mobile, used for contacts, calendars, and document access on the go. Fit, voltage, and connector match the original — no modification needed.

  • Delta 300 series compatibility: All three variants — Delta 300, 300GPS, and GPS 2L — share the same battery bay dimensions and 3.7V supply rail. The GPS 2L adds an active GPS receiver, which draws more current than the base model, but the battery interface is identical across the series.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Delta 300 platform. The BMS accepted the charge profile without fault flags, and the device held stable voltage through the full discharge curve without unexpected shutdowns.
  • RAM and data state before swap: Sync all open data to your host PC before removing the battery. The Delta 300 stores active application state and unsaved records in SRAM powered directly by the main battery. Pulling the cell without a full sync will wipe anything not committed to flash storage.

Why the Delta 300 loses data every time the battery is changed

The Delta 300 uses SRAM for working memory — contacts, calendar entries, and open files live there while the device is running. SRAM needs continuous power to hold its state. The moment the battery is removed, that memory clears. Some units include a small backup capacitor that buys a few seconds, but it is not reliable enough to cover a full battery swap. Always sync to ActiveSync or a memory card before pulling the cell.

Delta 300 stuck on the boot screen after fitting a new battery

A fresh replacement cell ships at a partial state of charge — often below the minimum voltage the bootloader needs to complete its POST sequence. If the device stalls on the Yakumo splash screen or loops through the boot animation, low cell voltage is the most likely cause. Connect the charger and leave the unit plugged in for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on again. Once the cell reaches approximately 3.6V, the boot sequence will complete normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Delta 300 wiped my contacts after I swapped the battery — is the new cell faulty?

The cell is not the problem. The Delta 300 holds contacts, calendar data, and application state in SRAM, which needs continuous power to retain its contents. The moment the old battery was removed, that memory lost power and cleared. The fix going forward is to run a full ActiveSync sync to your PC — or back up to a storage card — before pulling the battery. No sync means no recovery once the cell is out.

The Delta 300GPS locks up or resets randomly when the GPS is active — could this be a battery issue?

Yes. The GPS receiver in the 300GPS draws significantly more current than the base PDA functions, and a cell with reduced capacity will sag in voltage under that combined load. When the cell voltage dips too far, the device resets to protect the circuit. Charge the replacement cell fully before running the GPS, and check that you are seeing a resting voltage of at least 4.1V before starting navigation. If resets continue on a full charge, the issue is elsewhere.

My Delta 300 wireless sync drops out halfway through — this didn't happen with the old battery.

The Bluetooth and Wi-Fi radios on the Delta 300 are voltage-sensitive — they throttle or drop connection when the supply rail dips below a stable threshold. A new cell that has not been fully charged will show this behaviour even though the device appears to be on. Charge the battery completely before attempting a wireless sync. If the connection is still unstable at full charge, check that the battery contacts in the bay are clean and making firm contact with the cell terminals.
