Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

AnexTEX moboDA A3360 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery

This 3.7V, 1500mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the original battery in the AnexTEX moboDA A3360 PDA. It fits the A3360 handheld directly and matches the original voltage and capacity spec. The A3360 is a Pocket PC device — getting the cell chemistry right matters for the BMS handshake and stable power delivery to the processor and radio.

  • moboDA A3360 fit: The A3360 runs on a single lithium-polymer cell at 3.7V nominal. There is no multi-cell configuration on this platform. The BMS in the device monitors cell voltage directly, so a mismatched cell voltage causes the device to report incorrect charge states or refuse to boot.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a PDA test rig. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and the charge controller reached full cutoff at 4.2V as expected for Li-Polymer chemistry.
  • RAM data protection before swapping: Perform a full ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center sync to the host computer before removing the battery. The A3360 holds open application state and unsaved data in volatile RAM powered by the main cell — cutting power without syncing first loses that data permanently.

Why the moboDA A3360 won't boot after a new battery is installed

A freshly shipped Li-Polymer cell typically arrives at 30–50% charge. The A3360 boot sequence requires the cell to sit above a minimum voltage threshold before the processor will initialise. If the device shows nothing on screen or loops at the boot logo, the cell voltage is too low to complete POST. Charge the battery in the device for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on. Once the cell clears the minimum threshold — around 3.5V — the boot sequence completes normally.

A3360 showing shorter battery life after switching to warehouse scanning tasks

The scanner LED and wireless radio on the A3360 draw significantly more current than standard PDA use. In active scanning sessions with the backlight on and Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connected, the cell discharges far faster than during note-taking or calendar tasks. This is not a battery fault — it reflects real current draw that the original battery also experienced. To extend time between charges in scanning use, reduce backlight brightness and disable wireless radios when not actively syncing data.

Frequently Asked Questions

My moboDA A3360 lost all my contacts and open documents when I swapped the battery — why?

The A3360 stores active application data and unsaved files in SRAM, which is powered directly by the main battery. When the cell is removed, that memory loses power instantly and all unsaved data is gone. This is not a fault with the replacement battery — it happens with the original cell too. Before your next swap, run a full sync to your PC and soft-reset the device to flush RAM to storage.

The A3360 wireless sync keeps dropping or running slowly after I installed the new battery — what's wrong?

The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth radios on the A3360 are voltage-sensitive — below around 3.6V the radio stack throttles or drops connections to protect the processor. If the new cell shipped at a low state of charge, the device may be running the radio under voltage. Charge the battery fully to 4.2V before running a wireless sync session and the connection should stabilise.

My A3360 shows a full charge indicator but the battery drains way faster than it used to — is the new cell faulty?

This usually points to a calibration mismatch between the new cell and the device's fuel gauge. The A3360 fuel gauge learns capacity over charge cycles, and with a fresh cell it often over-reports charge state until a few full cycles complete. Run two or three full charge-to-discharge cycles under normal use. After that the gauge re-calibrates and the reported charge level will track actual cell voltage accurately.
