Why the MobilePro P300 won't boot after a new battery is installed

The P300's boot sequence requires a minimum voltage before the processor will start. A new battery shipped in storage state may sit at 3.0V or lower — below that threshold, the device shows nothing on screen or flickers and dies immediately. This is not a faulty battery or a faulty device. Connect the P300 to its charger for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power it on, giving the cell enough charge to cross the boot minimum voltage before you press the power button.

P300 battery gauge reading full but device cuts out under load

On aged or deeply discharged lithium cells, the P300's onboard fuel gauge can misread state of charge — it reports full while the cell's actual capacity has dropped enough that any display or backlight load causes an immediate voltage sag and shutdown. This is a cell aging problem, not a firmware bug. A replacement cell at full 4.2V charge will hold the voltage rail steady under normal display and processor load. After fitting this battery, run one complete charge cycle before trusting the gauge reading.

The P300 keeps its working data in SRAM, which is powered directly by the main battery. Going forward, always sync the device fully to your host PC before pulling the battery, so your data exists somewhere outside volatile RAM.

My MobilePro P300 wireless sync keeps dropping after fitting the new battery — is the radio faulty?

The P300's wireless radio is voltage-sensitive and draws a sharp current spike when transmitting. If the new battery hasn't been fully charged yet, that spike causes a brief voltage sag that interrupts the radio stack and drops the sync session. Charge the battery to a full 4.2V before attempting a wireless sync — most drop issues at this stage resolve once the cell is at capacity.

The MobilePro P300 shows a charging indicator but the battery percentage never climbs past about 10% — what's wrong?

This usually means the cell arrived in deep storage discharge, below the threshold where the charger applies full current.
