Delivers 11.1V at 4400mAh (48.84Wh) — sufficient capacity to sustain full CPU and display load without voltage sag.
Connector matches original housing; three-cell configuration seats into the battery bay slot with standard tab lock engagement.
Bench testing showed the BMS accepted charge cycles without cutoff faults; voltage held steady under moderate load draw across discharge sweep.
After installation, run one complete discharge cycle to system hibernation, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Averatec 4000 Series — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (M30-3S4400-C1S1)

This is an 11.1V Li-ion replacement battery rated at 4400mAh (48.84Wh) for Averatec 4000 series notebook computers. It fits the 4000, 4100, 4100AH, 4155, and over 20 additional Averatec models sharing the same battery bay and connector. OEM part numbers covered include M30-3S4400-C1S1, M30-3S4400-G1L1, M30-3S4400-G1P1, 63-UJ1024-0A, 63GUJ1024-2A, and SA20071-01.

  • 4000 and 4100 series compatibility: These models share the same 11.1V three-cell architecture, physical bay dimensions, and connector pinout. The BMS handshake is identical across this range, so the same cell works across all listed variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the 4000 platform. The BMS communicated correctly with the system, charge acceptance reached 100%, and no fault codes were triggered during the test sequence.
  • Post-install calibration on the 4000 series: After fitting this battery, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that routinely appears after a cell swap on this platform.

BIOS reporting poor battery health after fitting the replacement cell

The Averatec 4000 BIOS reads health data from EEPROM registers carried over from the original cell. When a new cell is fitted, those registers often still reflect the old cell's degraded state. The BIOS flags the battery as poor or unknown before it has completed a learn cycle against the new chemistry. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by a full uninterrupted charge lets the system recalibrate and write accurate data to the fuel gauge IC.

Laptop shutting down at 20–30% shown on the gauge after battery swap

This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual voltage curve. The gauge shows 20–30% remaining, but the cell voltage has already dropped below the threshold the system needs to sustain full CPU and display load. The laptop cuts power before the gauge catches up. Run two to three full discharge and charge cycles — by the third cycle the gauge IC maps the new cell accurately and the shutdowns stop. After calibration, resting cell voltage at a reported 20% should read approximately 10.8V or above.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Averatec 4000 shows the new battery as 0% or "unknown" in Windows right after install — what's wrong?

The fuel gauge IC is still reading EEPROM data from the old, depleted cell. Windows reports whatever the gauge IC sends, so it shows 0% or unknown until the new cell is calibrated. Do a full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After one complete cycle the gauge IC rewrites its registers against the new cell and the OS reads the correct state of charge.

The Averatec notebook charges fine but Windows is reporting a Wh rating that doesn't match the spec on the battery label — is the cell faulty?

It is not a fault. The Wh value Windows displays is pulled from the EEPROM on the cell, which stores the rated figure from the original OEM battery. The replacement cell's actual chemistry is 48.84Wh, but the EEPROM figure from the old battery data may differ. Run the battery through two full calibration cycles — discharge to hibernate, charge to 100% uninterrupted — and the system will recalculate actual Wh based on measured capacity rather than the stale EEPROM value.

After two weeks of normal use the charge stops at around 80% and won't go higher — is this a hardware problem?

On many Averatec 4000 units, the BIOS includes a charge-limit firmware setting that caps charging at 80% to reduce long-term cell stress. This is a BIOS function, not a battery fault. Check the BIOS power management section for a battery charge threshold or conservation mode setting and disable it. If no such setting exists, a forced battery learn cycle — full discharge to hibernate, then full charge uninterrupted — will confirm whether the 80% cap is firmware-controlled or a genuine charge-acceptance issue with the cell.
