Fits Bosch TR-700 and TR-800 wireless headsets; replaces OEM battery pack for both models.
7.2V at 2000mAh delivers full audio transmission and receiver runtime across back-to-back calls.
Ni-MH cell slides into the headset battery compartment with a single locking tab; connector aligns vertically.
We bench-tested the pack on a TR-800 base station; BMS accepted the cell on first insertion without fault codes.
On first use, charge the headset in the base station for a full cycle before taking a call — DECT headsets require the base to log the new cell before talk-time estimates are accurate.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bosch TR-700 / TR-800 — 7.2V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 7.2V, 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Bosch TR-700 and TR-800 wireless DECT headsets. It slots into the headset housing and powers both the audio processing and the DECT radio transmission circuits. Capacity is sourced from product data at 14.4Wh — do not rely on third-party listings that inflate this figure.

  • TR-700 and TR-800 compatibility: Both models share the same physical battery bay, connector pin layout, and 7.2V supply rail. The BMS handshake sequence is identical across the two, so one cell fits both without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through the base station charge sequence and monitored BMS communication. The cell accepted a full charge, and the base station reported pack status correctly without a fault flag.
  • First-use charging tip for DECT headsets: On first use, seat the headset in the base station and charge through one complete cycle before making a call. DECT base stations log the new cell during that first cycle — until it completes, the talk-time estimate on the display will read short or erratic.

Base station not recognising the new pack after swap

When a fresh Ni-MH cell arrives at storage voltage — typically between 6.0V and 6.4V — the TR-700 base station may show a charge error or simply not register the pack at all. The base expects to see a voltage above its detection threshold before it initiates the charge handshake. Seating the headset firmly, then leaving it undisturbed in the cradle for 10–15 minutes, usually allows the base to detect the resting voltage and begin the charge cycle. If the error persists, remove the headset, wait 30 seconds, and reseat it — this resets the base station's detection polling.

Headset cuts out mid-call even with a recently charged battery

The TR-700 draws current from two sources simultaneously during a live call: the audio amplifier circuit and the DECT radio transmitter. Under that combined load, a cell with degraded capacity — or a new cell not yet through its first full charge cycle — can sag below the BMS cutoff threshold and drop the connection. This is not a headset fault. Charge the battery fully in the base station, confirm the charge indicator shows complete, then test on a call. If cut-outs continue after three full charge-discharge cycles, the cell voltage under load is not recovering above 6.0V and the pack needs replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions

The base station shows a charging error after I put the new battery in — what's causing it?

A new Ni-MH cell ships at storage voltage, usually 6.0–6.4V, which can fall below the TR-700 base station's detection threshold. The base needs to see a voltage above that threshold to start the charge handshake. Remove the headset, wait 30 seconds, reseat it firmly, and leave it undisturbed for 15 minutes. If the error clears and charging begins, let it run through one full cycle before use.

Talk time seems much shorter than rated for the first few days after fitting the new battery — is the cell faulty?

It is not faulty. Ni-MH cells leave storage partially discharged and need three to five full charge-discharge cycles before they reach rated capacity. During those early cycles the base station's talk-time estimate will also read low because it has not yet profiled the new cell's charge curve. Run three complete cycles — full charge in the base, use until the headset signals low, return to base — and talk time will increase noticeably by the third cycle.

The headset gets noticeably warm during long calls — is that a problem with the replacement battery?

The TR-700 housing is compact, and during extended calls the DECT radio and audio circuits both draw from the same cell continuously. Some warmth is normal under that sustained combined load. The cell becomes a concern if it is hot to the touch rather than warm, or if the base station reports a temperature fault after charging. Check that the battery bay contacts are clean and that the cell is seated flush — a poor contact increases resistance and raises heat at the connection point.
