Fits Dejavoo Z9 V3 and Z9 Blue payment terminals; replaces OEM battery IP604355-2P.
3.7V, 2900mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers sufficient capacity for full-shift transaction processing without mid-day recharge.
Connector seats into the terminal's rear battery slot with a single locking tab; orientation is keyed.
We bench-tested this cell in the Z9 V3 platform; BMS accepted the pack on first boot with normal handshake timing.
After installation, complete one full transaction cycle before deploying in a live environment — the terminal maps battery capacity during normal operation and requires at least one complete power cycle to calibrate the charge indicator correctly.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Dejavoo Z9 V3 / Z9 Blue — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (IP604355-2P)

This is a 3.7V, 2900mAh lithium-polymer battery for the Dejavoo Z9 V3 and Z9 Blue payment terminals. It replaces OEM part IP604355-2P and fits directly into both units without modification. Capacity figure is taken from the product data: 2900mAh (10.73Wh).

  • Z9 V3 and Z9 Blue compatibility: Both terminals share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — which is why a single cell works across both. The Z9 Blue is a colour variant, not a hardware revision. Same voltage rail, same communication lines.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full boot sequences, receipt print bursts, and wireless transaction loads on the Z9 V3. The BMS accepted the handshake on first boot without error flags, and the charge IC entered top-off mode correctly at full capacity.
  • First deployment tip: After installation, complete one full transaction cycle before deploying in a live environment. The terminal maps battery capacity during normal use and needs at least one complete power cycle to calibrate the charge indicator correctly.

Why the Z9 V3 reboots mid-transaction after a battery swap

When the receipt printer fires, it draws a short current spike — sometimes enough to trip the BMS overcurrent threshold on a cell that hasn't completed its first full charge cycle. The BMS interprets the spike as a fault and cuts output momentarily, which the terminal reads as a power loss and reboots. Run the terminal through at least one complete charge before processing live transactions. Once the BMS has logged a full cycle, it adjusts its overcurrent trip window and the reboots stop.

Terminal stuck on boot screen after sitting unused in a drawer

Lithium-polymer cells self-discharge at roughly 2–3% per month. A terminal left unused for several months can drop below the BMS recovery threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell — at which point the BMS locks output to protect the cell. Plug into the charger and leave it connected for a minimum of 30 minutes before attempting to power on. If the terminal still won't boot, check that the charger output reads between 4.9V and 5.1V at the port before assuming the battery is at fault.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Z9 V3 charge indicator has been stuck at 99% since I put the new battery in — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong. On a new lithium-polymer cell, the charge IC enters top-off mode once it reaches near-full voltage and trickle-charges to true 100% over an extended period. The 99% reading is the terminal's fuel gauge waiting for the final top-off confirmation from the BMS. Leave the terminal on charge for an additional 60–90 minutes after it first shows 99% and the indicator will update.

The terminal feels noticeably warm after a busy period processing several transactions in a row — is the battery failing?

That warmth is normal under combined load. The Z9 V3 runs the display, wireless radio, and receipt printer simultaneously during a transaction cycle, and the combined draw generates heat at the battery contacts. If the case feels hot — not just warm — to the touch and the terminal starts throttling or dimming the screen, check that the terminal isn't enclosed in a tight case or drawer while processing. Allowing airflow around the unit drops the operating temperature back into the normal range.

The Z9 Blue won't complete its PCI boot sequence after I installed the new battery — it cycles back to the boot screen every time.

This is a BMS handshake timing issue, not a fault with the battery or terminal. The Z9 Blue's PCI boot sequence queries the battery BMS early in the startup routine; on a fresh cell that hasn't completed a charge cycle, the BMS response can fall outside the expected timing window and the terminal treats it as a security check failure. Connect the terminal to the charger, allow it to charge for at least 20 minutes, then power on while still connected. Completing one full charge cycle lets the BMS settle into its normal communication timing and the boot sequence completes cleanly.
