Fits Garmin Fleet 670 LM truck GPS navigator, replaces OEM part 361-00066-51.
3.7V 1500mAh lithium-ion cell delivers the same capacity as the original pack.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with no locking tab required.
We bench-tested the cell across charge cycles; BMS registered nominal voltage at rest.
After fitting this cell, power the GPS fully on outdoors and allow satellite acquisition before navigation — cold start after battery swap takes 5–10 minutes for first fix.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Garmin Fleet 670 LM TRUCK — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (361-00066-51)

This is a 3.7V 1500mAh Li-ion cell built to fit the Garmin Fleet 670 LM TRUCK GPS navigator. It replaces OEM part 361-00066-51 and restores power to the navigation system when the original cell has degraded. Voltage and connector match the original spec exactly.

  • Fleet 670 LM TRUCK platform fit: The Fleet 670 LM TRUCK runs a single-cell 3.7V Li-ion architecture with a low-profile connector and BMS handshake tied to the OEM cell spec. This replacement matches that voltage rail and physical footprint — 64.42 × 41.90 × 5.10mm — so the device powers on and communicates normally with the cell from first boot.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Fleet 670 platform and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell without fault codes. Capacity held at rated 1500mAh across the test cycles and the device held satellite lock through the full session.
  • Cold-start satellite fix after battery swap: After fitting this cell, power the unit on outdoors and let it acquire a satellite fix before driving. The GPS performs a full cold start after any complete power interruption — first fix takes 5 to 10 minutes outdoors. Subsequent warm starts after normal shut-down will be under a minute.

Why the Fleet 670 LM TRUCK shuts off without a low-battery warning

The Fleet 670 reads cell voltage to calculate the battery indicator on screen. After years of use, the original cell's internal resistance rises, causing voltage to sag under the GPS receiver and display load. The device hits its hardware low-voltage cutoff before the software indicator reaches the red zone, so the unit powers off mid-route with no visible warning. Fitting a new cell with lower internal resistance restores the voltage margin and the warning indicator behaves accurately again.

Saved routes and POIs missing after fitting the replacement cell

Some Fleet 670 settings and saved routes are held in battery-backed RAM, which loses state when the cell is fully removed. This is not a fault with the replacement battery — it is a consequence of any complete power interruption to that memory area. Re-enter saved routes and custom POIs manually after the swap. Going forward, use the device's export function to back up routes to the SD card before any battery service.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Fleet 670 LM TRUCK is taking forever to find satellites after I put in the new battery — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong. Removing the battery causes the GPS receiver to lose its last known position and almanac data, triggering a full cold start. Outdoors with a clear sky view, first fix takes 5 to 10 minutes — this is normal. Once the unit has acquired a fix and you complete a normal shut-down, the next start will lock on in under a minute.

The Fleet 670 powers off mid-trip with no warning — the battery bar looked fine right before it died.

The battery indicator reads cell voltage at rest, not under load. When the GPS receiver and display draw current simultaneously, voltage sags sharply on a degraded cell — the device hits its hardware cutoff at around 3.0V before the software indicator catches up. A new 1500mAh cell with low internal resistance holds voltage stable under that combined load, and the indicator will reflect actual charge state accurately again.

The Fleet 670 seems to drain much faster when I'm actively navigating versus when it's just sitting on the dash.

Active navigation runs the GPS receiver, map rendering, and display at full brightness simultaneously — that combined draw is significantly higher than standby. Additionally, some GPS units reduce receiver sensitivity at low battery to conserve power, which can affect fix quality before the unit shuts off. Keep screen brightness at the lowest usable level and verify the battery reads above 3.5V at rest if drain seems excessive — a cell that drops below that at rest under light load has likely degraded.
