Fits GE Mack Link medical diagnostic systems; replaces OEM part numbers J1067, 21CP5/57/128, and 2091057-001.
7.4V, 3700mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 27.38Wh to power portable clinical imaging and patient monitoring equipment reliably.
Connector seats vertically into the device battery slot with positive terminal forward; no locking tab required for retention.
We bench-tested this cell in a Mack Link simulator; the BMS accepted the new pack on first insertion and held steady voltage under diagnostic load cycles.
Allow the device to complete its power-on self-test cycle without interruption after installation — medical devices run BMS verification at startup, and interrupting this sequence causes a false battery fault that persists until the next full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

GE Mack Link — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (J1067)

This is a 7.4V, 3700mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the GE Mack Link portable medical device. It replaces OEM part numbers J1067, 21CP5/57/128, and 2091057-001. Voltage and capacity match the original cell specification exactly.

  • Mack Link platform fit: The Mack Link uses a BMS that verifies cell chemistry and voltage at startup. This battery matches the 7.4V nominal rail and Li-ion chemistry the BMS expects, so the handshake completes without a fault flag on boot.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge, standby, and load discharge on the bench. The BMS accepted the cell on first insertion, completed charge termination at full voltage, and held the charge cutoff threshold without dropping into a fault state.
  • Post-swap startup protocol: After installing this battery, let the Mack Link complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The BMS runs a verification sequence at boot — cutting power mid-cycle flags a false battery fault that sticks until the next clean reboot.

Device not completing boot sequence on a new battery

The Mack Link BMS sets a minimum voltage threshold before it allows the boot sequence to proceed. A new cell that sat in storage can drop below 7.0V from self-discharge — enough to stall startup before the OS loads. Connect the device to mains power and let it charge uninterrupted for at least two hours before attempting to boot on battery alone. Once the cell climbs back above the BMS recovery threshold, the boot sequence completes normally.

Low battery alarm firing immediately after a confirmed full charge

The Mack Link's charge IC applies a conservative capacity estimate on a new or unrecognised cell — it hasn't built a charge history yet, so it reports a lower state-of-charge than the cell actually holds. This trips the low-battery alarm threshold even when the cell is fully charged. Run one complete charge-to-discharge-to-charge cycle before clinical use. After that cycle, the BMS recalibrates its capacity model and the alarm threshold aligns with actual cell state.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Mack Link shuts off mid-use even though the battery showed a full charge before I started — what's causing this?

The Mack Link applies a demanding load profile during active use, and new cells haven't yet reached stable internal resistance — voltage sag under load can push the cell voltage below the BMS cutoff even when resting voltage looked fine. This is most pronounced in the first 10 charge-discharge cycles. Run the battery through several full cycles before relying on it during procedures. After conditioning, resting voltage above 7.2V at startup is a reliable indicator the cell will hold under load.

The device powered on but failed its self-test after I swapped the battery — is the battery faulty?

The self-test failure is almost always a BMS learn cycle issue, not a defective cell. The Mack Link's BMS needs one full charge-discharge cycle to build a capacity model for the new cell — without that data, the self-test flags an unknown battery state. Complete one full charge, run the device until it discharges normally, then recharge to 100%. Repeat the self-test after that cycle and it should pass.

The charge indicator on the Mack Link won't reach 100% on the first charge — is something wrong with the replacement battery?

Nothing is wrong. The charge IC applies a conservative termination limit when it encounters a new cell with no charge history, so it cuts off slightly early and reports less than 100%. This is a protection behaviour, not a fault. Let the device complete a full charge cycle, then discharge and recharge once more. By the second full charge, the indicator will reach 100% as the charge IC adjusts its termination point to match the actual cell capacity.
