Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Glovii Heated Sweatshirt & Pant — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (GLI7426)
This 7.4V 2600mAh Li-ion battery is a direct replacement for the Glovii GLI7426 cell used in the Glovii Heated Sweatshirt and Heated Pant. It powers the integrated heating zones that run through the garment fabric. Voltage and connector match the original OEM unit.
- Heated Sweatshirt and Pant compatibility: Both garments share the GLI7426 battery because they run the same 7.4V heating element circuit and use an identical connector and BMS handshake. Swapping between the two garments with the same pack works without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge-discharge cycles on a 7.4V heated garment test rig. The BMS responded correctly to sustained current draw across all heat settings, holding output voltage steady without tripping protection prematurely.
- Heat setting transition on first use: Start on the lowest heat setting for the first 10 minutes with a new battery. The heating elements pull significant current at maximum, and stepping up gradually lets the cell stabilise before handling full-power demand across all zones.
Heating element cutting out mid-use on maximum setting
The GLI7426 BMS has an overcurrent cutoff that activates when sustained current draw exceeds its threshold. On the highest heat setting, all heating zones run simultaneously, which pushes total draw close to that limit — especially as the cell ages or in cold ambient temperatures where internal resistance rises. A mid-use cutout is the BMS doing its job, not a faulty battery. Power the garment off for 30 seconds to reset the protection circuit, then restart on a lower heat setting.
Battery not reaching maximum heat level even when fully charged
If the garment won't sustain the highest heat level after charging, the cell voltage under load is likely dropping below the threshold the heating controller needs to activate full power across all zones. This happens when a degraded or deeply discharged battery can no longer hold voltage under the current draw of maximum heat. Check the charge indicator — if it reads full but the garment still won't reach high heat, measure resting voltage with a multimeter. A healthy 7.4V Li-ion cell should read between 8.2V and 8.4V at full charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Glovii heated sweatshirt drains the battery much faster when I run it on the highest heat setting — is something wrong?
Nothing is wrong — this is expected behaviour. The highest heat setting activates all heating zones at once and draws roughly 3 to 4 times more current than the lowest setting. The 2600mAh capacity is fixed, so higher current pull shortens the time between charges proportionally. To extend use between charges, cycle between medium and high rather than running maximum continuously.
The battery charge indicator shows full but my Glovii sweatshirt heats less in very cold weather — why?
Li-ion cells lose usable capacity as temperature drops because cold increases internal resistance, which causes voltage to sag under load before the cell is actually depleted. The charge indicator reads stored charge, not the cell's ability to deliver current at low temperatures. Keep the battery pack tucked close to your body rather than exposed to the outside air — body heat alone can recover a meaningful portion of the capacity the cold is suppressing.
The new GLI7426 battery won't charge at all — the charger light stays green or shows no activity.
A battery that arrives or is stored in a deeply discharged state can fall below the minimum voltage the charger needs to initiate a charge cycle — typically below 6V for a 7.4V Li-ion pack. Connect the battery to the charger and leave it for 20 to 30 minutes without interruption; many chargers trickle charge at a low rate first to recover the cell before switching to full charge current. If the charge indicator still shows no activity after 30 minutes, measure the battery terminals with a multimeter — if voltage reads below 5V, the cell has likely dropped into a range where recovery is not possible.
