Fits Klan-e heated gloves and socks using part K-BAT-7.4VOLT-3.0A as original equipment replacement.
7.4V 3000mAh lithium-polymer delivers 22.2Wh to sustain heat across low, medium, and high settings without voltage sag.
Connector aligns flat against the glove pack; locking tab seats with firm downward pressure until flush.
Bench testing showed stable voltage under sustained high-setting draw; BMS held protection threshold at 6.2V cutoff.
On first use, start at low heat for ten minutes — heating elements draw heavy current at maximum and new cells need a warm-up cycle before full power.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Klan-e Heated Gloves & Socks — 7.4V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (K-BAT-7.4VOLT-3.0A)

This is a 7.4V 3000mAh (22.2Wh) lithium-polymer replacement battery for Klan-e heated gloves and socks. It slots directly into the original battery compartment and powers the resistive heating elements through the same BMS interface as the factory pack. Order this when the original cell no longer holds a useful charge across a full outing.

  • Gloves and socks share this pack: Both products run off the same 7.4V nominal voltage rail with an identical connector and BMS handshake, which is why Klan-e uses one battery part number across the two garments. Swapping between gloves and socks is straightforward — the pack draws current according to the heating element it's connected to.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through low, medium, and high heat settings and monitored BMS cutoff behaviour at each draw level. The protection circuit held steady during sustained high-setting pulls and recovered correctly when the load was removed and reapplied.
  • First use on a new pack: Run the gloves or socks on the lowest heat setting for the first 10 minutes before switching to maximum. The heating elements draw significantly more current at full power, and letting the new cell stabilise under a lighter load first helps the BMS calibrate its charge state accurately from cycle one.

Why Klan-e heated gloves stop reaching maximum heat on a new battery

A fresh lithium-polymer cell sometimes reads a slightly lower resting voltage than its true state of charge until the first full charge-discharge cycle completes. The Klan-e BMS uses voltage thresholds to gate the high heat setting — if the pack reads below roughly 7.2V under load, the controller won't sustain full current to the heating elements. Charging the replacement pack to 100% before the first use resolves this. After one complete cycle, the BMS recalibrates and the high setting operates as expected.

Heating element cuts out mid-use then restarts on its own

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a faulty heating element. At maximum setting the draw from Klan-e heated gloves is sustained and continuous — if the pack temperature rises or the cell voltage sags briefly under that load, the protection circuit interrupts current flow as designed. The restart happens once the BMS clears the fault condition, typically within a few seconds. Dropping to the medium heat setting reduces current draw enough to prevent repeated trips. If cutouts persist on medium, check that the battery contacts are clean and fully seated — partial contact increases resistance and amplifies voltage sag.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Klan-e gloves won't stay on the highest heat setting — they keep dropping back to medium on their own. Is the battery the problem?

Yes, and the cause is voltage sag. At maximum heat, the gloves draw sustained high current, and if the cell voltage dips below the BMS threshold under that load, the controller steps the setting down to protect the pack. This happens more often with an ageing original battery but can also occur with a new pack on its first few cycles. Charge the replacement battery fully before use and run one complete low-to-high cycle — after that, the BMS threshold calibration stabilises and the high setting holds.

The battery drains much faster when I use the high heat setting compared to medium — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong — this is expected behaviour. The high setting draws roughly three to four times more current than the low setting, so the 3000mAh capacity is consumed proportionally faster. A 7.4V lithium-polymer pack delivers its rated capacity at a moderate discharge rate; at the sustained high draw of maximum heat, effective capacity reduces slightly due to the rate effect built into Li-ion chemistry. If heat duration at high setting is shorter than expected in very cold conditions, keep the battery pack as close to your body as possible — cold ambient temperatures reduce Li-ion output capacity noticeably below 5°C.

My Klan-e heated gloves worked fine yesterday but today the battery won't charge past about 50% — the indicator stops there.

A cell that charges to roughly half capacity and stops is showing early-stage capacity fade or a partial BMS lockout from a shallow-discharge cycle. Lithium-polymer cells degrade faster when repeatedly charged from a high state — for example, topping up from 70% every use without ever running the pack down. Run the battery down until the gloves shut off automatically, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. If the indicator still stops at 50% after one full cycle, the cell capacity has degraded beyond recovery and the replacement pack is needed — check that your charger output reads 8.4V before connecting.
