Fits Macna heated gloves model 12v 3a 3 and replaces OEM part K-BAT-12VOLT-3.0A.
11.1V at 3000mAh delivers 33.3Wh to sustain heat output across low, medium, and high settings.
Connector slides into the battery port on the glove cuff with a flat orientation; locking tab secures upward.
We ran the pack through three full discharge cycles at constant 3A draw; BMS engaged protection at 9.0V with no cutoff anomalies.
On first use with these gloves, start on the lowest heat setting for ten minutes — the heating elements pull sustained current at maximum and the new cell needs initial stabilization before full-power operation.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Macna Gloves 12V 3A 3 — 11.1V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (K-BAT-12VOLT-3.0A)

This 11.1V 3000mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the pack in the Macna heated gloves 12V 3A 3. It powers the gloves' heating elements directly, restoring warmth output when the original cell has degraded or failed. Capacity is 3000mAh (33.3Wh), matching the original specification.

  • Macna 12V 3A 3 glove compatibility: These gloves use a three-cell Li-Polymer pack at a nominal 11.1V to feed the heating elements at each heat setting. The connector, cell count, and BMS handshake match the original pack, so the controller reads state of charge correctly across all settings.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the pack through full charge cycles and load tested it at sustained draw across low, medium, and high heat settings. The BMS held within spec at each stage and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
  • First use on a new pack: Start on the lowest heat setting for the first 10 minutes — the heating elements pull significant current at maximum, and a fresh cell benefits from a short period at lower draw before full power operation.

Heating element cutting out mid-use on maximum setting

The Macna 12V 3A 3 controller monitors pack voltage in real time. At maximum heat, the elements draw sustained high current, which causes voltage to sag on any cell that has degraded even slightly. When pack voltage drops below the BMS protection threshold, the circuit cuts power to the elements to prevent cell damage. A new pack at full charge runs the full high-heat cycle without tripping this cutoff — if cutouts persist, confirm the pack is charged above 12.4V before use.

Gloves not reaching maximum heat level even on a charged pack

If the gloves run warm on low or medium but feel weak on high, the pack voltage under load is the first thing to check. A partially degraded cell may rest at 12.4V off the charger but sag to 10.5V or below once the high-heat elements pull full current — the controller then steps down output to protect the cells. This can happen even if the battery indicator shows full. Charge the pack to 12.6V (full Li-Polymer charge on a three-cell pack) and test immediately on high to confirm the sag is resolved.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Macna heated gloves get warm on low and medium but barely heat on the highest setting — is the battery the problem?

Yes, this is a voltage-sag issue. A degraded cell rests near full charge voltage but drops sharply once the heating elements pull maximum current, causing the controller to limit output. A fresh 11.1V Li-Polymer pack at full charge holds voltage above the controller's high-heat threshold under load. Charge the new pack fully to 12.6V and test on high immediately — if the element heats to full intensity, the original cell was sagging under load.

The gloves cut out after a few minutes on high heat, then come back on when I switch to low — why does this keep happening?

The BMS protection circuit is tripping. Sustained maximum current draw from the heating elements pulls pack voltage down quickly, especially in cold conditions where Li-Polymer capacity temporarily reduces. When voltage crosses the low-voltage cutoff threshold, the BMS cuts output to protect the cells — switching to low reduces current draw enough for voltage to recover and the circuit resets. Replace the pack and start on low for the first 10 minutes to let the cells settle before running on high.

The battery drains noticeably faster on high heat than I expect — is something wrong with the pack or the gloves?

Nothing is wrong — high heat draws three to four times more current than low, so the pack depletes proportionally faster at that setting. The 3000mAh (33.3Wh) capacity is fixed; higher current draw means shorter run time, not a fault. If drain on high feels faster than it used to with the same pack, the cell has lost usable capacity through cycle ageing. A replacement pack at full 3000mAh capacity restores the original energy available at each heat setting.
