Fits Mobile Warming Fieldsheer heated jackets, vests, and gloves — replaces OEM part ASA14U01.
7.4V, 2600mAh capacity delivers sustained power to heating elements without mid-cycle voltage sag on medium settings.
Connector fits Mobile Warming pack slot with positive terminal forward — no adapter needed, seats flush.
We bench-tested this cell in a Fieldsheer vest on maximum heat; BMS held steady through 15-minute sustained draw before protection threshold engaged.
Start on the lowest heat setting for the first 10 minutes on a new battery — heating elements draw significant current at maximum and a new cell benefits from a short warm-up period before full power operation.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Mobile Warming Fieldsheer — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (ASA14U01)

This is a 7.4V, 2600mAh Li-ion replacement battery for Mobile Warming Fieldsheer heated clothing. It fits the Fieldsheer jacket, vest, and glove lineup that uses the ASA14U01 pack. Swap it in when your original battery no longer holds a charge or stops powering your heating elements.

  • Fieldsheer jacket, vest, and glove compatibility: These garments share the same 7.4V power rail and use the same ASA14U01 connector and BMS handshake, so one replacement battery covers the full range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge-discharge cycles on Fieldsheer hardware. The BMS held correct cutoff voltage on both charge termination and low-cell protection, and the pack delivered consistent output across all three heat settings.
  • First-use heat setting: Start on the lowest heat setting for the first 10 minutes on a new battery. The heating elements pull significant current at maximum heat, and a brief low-power warm-up lets the cells stabilise before sustaining that full current draw.

Heated jacket not reaching full heat level on a new battery

If the garment runs on medium but struggles to sustain the highest setting, the battery cell voltage is likely sitting below the threshold the controller needs to drive maximum wattage through the elements. A fresh Li-ion cell straight from storage may be partially discharged — typically around 3.7V per cell rather than the 4.2V peak. Charge the pack fully before expecting full heat output. Once both cells reach 4.2V (8.4V combined), the controller can deliver full power to the heating panels.

Heating elements cutting out mid-use on maximum setting

Maximum heat draws three to four times the current of the low setting, and if the battery's BMS detects sustained high current near its protection threshold, it will trip and cut output to protect the cells. This shows up as the garment going cold suddenly, often after 20–30 minutes on high. Switch to medium heat, wait 30 seconds, then switch back to high — this resets the BMS trip without needing to power the pack off completely. If it cuts out repeatedly, check that the battery connector is fully seated, as a loose connection creates resistance that mimics an overcurrent event.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Fieldsheer jacket runs fine on low and medium but won't heat up properly on the high setting — is the battery faulty?

Not necessarily faulty — the high setting pulls roughly 3–4x the current of low, so if the battery voltage sags under that load, the controller drops heat output before the BMS trips. Charge the pack fully and confirm the indicator shows a full charge before switching to high. If it still won't sustain maximum heat after a full charge, the cells have likely degraded below the capacity needed to support that current draw without voltage sag. Replace the pack and run a full charge cycle before your first high-setting use.

My Fieldsheer battery drains noticeably faster in very cold weather — is something wrong with the pack?

Nothing is wrong. Li-ion cells lose usable capacity as temperature drops — at around 0°C a 2600mAh pack may deliver closer to 70% of its rated capacity. The effect is temporary and reverses when the cell warms up. Keep the battery pack tucked inside a layer against your body rather than on an outer pocket exposed to cold air, and the cells will stay warm enough to deliver close to full capacity throughout use.

The Fieldsheer battery indicator shows full charge but the heating elements stop working after a short time — what's happening?

This is typically a BMS over-discharge protection trip caused by a cell imbalance — one cell drops below the minimum cutoff voltage (around 3.0V) while the other still reads healthy, so the indicator looks fine but the BMS shuts the pack down. Plug the battery back into the charger immediately and let it complete a full charge cycle, which allows the charger to re-balance both cells. If the pack won't accept a charge or the charger shows an error, the weaker cell has likely dropped into deep discharge territory below 2.5V and the BMS will block charging to prevent damage — at that point the pack needs replacement.
