Fits Tactilion G3, G870, and K370 payment terminals replacing OEM part GX01.
7.4V 1750mAh lithium-ion cell delivers full transaction capacity for uninterrupted payment processing.
Connector seats flush into the terminal battery slot with positive contact alignment confirmed.
We bench-tested this cell in a G3 unit — BMS accepted handshake on first boot cycle.
After installation, run one complete transaction including card swipe and receipt print before live deployment; the terminal calibrates battery capacity mapping during normal operation and requires this cycle to display accurate charge levels.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Tactilion G3 / G870 / K370 — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (GX01)

This 7.4V 1750mAh Li-ion battery replaces the OEM GX01 cell in Tactilion G3, G870, and K370 payment terminals. All three models run on the same voltage rail and share an identical physical form factor and connector. Capacity is rated at 12.95Wh — matching the original specification for these terminals.

  • G3, G870, and K370 compatibility: These three terminals share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. A single GX01-spec cell covers all three without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge cycles on a G3 unit, monitoring BMS handshake acceptance, charge IC behaviour during top-off, and cutoff response under combined display, printer, and wireless draw. The BMS accepted the cell within the first complete boot-charge cycle.
  • First deployment tip for POS terminals: After installing the battery, complete one full transaction cycle — including a receipt print — before deploying in a live environment. The terminal maps battery capacity during normal operation and requires at least one complete power cycle to calibrate the charge indicator accurately.

Receipt printer causing battery drain on the G3 and K370

The thermal printer inside these terminals draws a sharp current spike each time it fires — typically the highest single load event the battery handles. On a degraded cell, this spike can sag the voltage enough to trip the BMS overcurrent protection and reboot the terminal mid-receipt. A fresh GX01-spec cell with full capacity handles this spike without voltage sag. If the terminal still reboots during printing after a battery swap, check that the charge IC has completed a full top-off cycle before blaming the cell.

Terminal not completing PCI boot sequence after battery installation

The G3 runs a PCI security boot sequence on startup that requires a stable, verified power source. A brand-new cell can fail this check if the BMS handshake hasn't been accepted yet — the terminal interprets an unverified battery as an unstable supply and halts boot. This is not a faulty battery. Connect the terminal to the charger, allow one full charge cycle to complete, then power on again. The BMS handshake completes during that first charge and the boot sequence proceeds normally from that point.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Tactilion G3 reboots every time it prints a receipt — is that the battery?

Most likely yes. The thermal printer pulls a current spike on every print, and if the battery cell can't hold voltage under that load, the BMS trips and the terminal resets. We reproduced this on the bench with a depleted OEM cell — the new GX01-spec replacement handled the same print load without voltage sag. Swap the battery and ensure it completes one full charge cycle before testing.

The terminal has been sitting unused for two months and now won't power on at all — what happened?

Li-ion cells self-discharge over time, and after two months in a drawer the cell voltage may have dropped below the BMS recovery threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell. At that point the BMS locks out to prevent damage and the terminal shows no signs of life. Connect it to the charger and leave it for at least 30–45 minutes; most charge ICs on these terminals include a trickle pre-charge mode that slowly recovers a deep-discharged cell before resuming normal charging. If the charge indicator light never activates after an hour, the original cell is below recovery and replacement is the next step.

The battery indicator has been stuck at 99% since I installed the new battery — is it defective?

No — this is normal behaviour on the first charge. When the charge IC detects a new cell, it enters top-off mode and holds the display reading near full while it completes a slow final charge phase. The terminal hasn't fully mapped the new cell's capacity yet. Run the terminal through one complete discharge-and-charge cycle during normal use, and the indicator will recalibrate and read correctly from that point forward.
