Fits Quasar QT2000, QT2010, QT3000, and QT3200 cordless handsets with original 3.6V Ni-MH battery.
This 3.6V, 600mAh Ni-MH pack delivers the voltage and capacity needed to restore full talk and standby time on Quasar DECT handsets.
Cylindrical cell seats into the battery compartment at the handset base with spring-clip retention — no connector required.
We tested the pack on a QT2000 handset; the base station accepted the cell on first insertion with no voltage fault codes.
After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — NiMH cordless phone batteries require a slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Quasar QT2000 / QT3000 Series — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 3.6V, 600mAh Ni-MH battery for Quasar cordless phone handsets. It fits the QT2000, QT2010, QT3000, and QT3200 series, along with additional compatible models. The pack slots directly into the handset battery compartment and connects to the onboard charging circuit.

  • QT2000 / QT3000 series fit: These models share the same 3.6V three-cell Ni-MH battery format, identical footprint (42.64 × 30.00 × 14.45mm), and the same base station charge voltage rail. One pack covers the full range.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a Quasar-compatible base station. The handset accepted the charge signal without error, and the BMS held stable voltage across the full discharge curve.
  • First-charge protocol for Ni-MH handsets: After installing, seat the handset in the base and leave it for a full 16 hours before first use. Ni-MH cells in cordless phones need a slow initial charge to reach rated capacity — skipping this step cuts into talk time from day one.

Talk time shorter than expected after battery swap

Ni-MH cells don't deliver full rated capacity straight out of the packaging. The first two or three charge cycles typically produce noticeably shorter talk time than the original battery. This is a chemistry behaviour, not a fault — the cells need cycling to reach their full 600mAh capacity. By cycle three to five, talk time should match or exceed the worn-out pack you replaced.

Base station charge light not coming on after fitting new pack

Ni-MH batteries can sit in storage for months and drop to a voltage level that some base stations won't accept as a valid charge signal. The base's charging circuit expects to see a minimum threshold before it switches on the charge light. If the handset shows no charge activity, remove it from the base, wait 10 seconds, and reseat it firmly. If the light still doesn't come on, check that the handset contacts and base contacts are clean and making full metal-to-metal contact — a thin film of oxidation blocks the circuit.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Quasar QT2000 handset lost its pairing with the base after I swapped the battery — how do I get it back?

Some DECT cordless phones drop their pairing data when the handset loses power completely, which happens during a battery swap. The base station treats the handset as unregistered. Re-pair by pressing and holding the registration button on the base station until the indicator flashes, then initiate pairing from the handset menu — the exact button sequence is in your QT2000 manual, but most Quasar models complete the handshake within 30 seconds.

The handset battery is draining overnight even when it's sitting on the base — what's causing that?

This is a seating issue, not a battery fault. If the handset isn't fully clicked into the base cradle, the charge contacts don't make reliable contact and the standby draw slowly empties the pack instead of topping it up. Lift the handset completely out, check that nothing is blocking the cradle, and reseat it until you feel it settle flat. A properly seated handset on a working base should read full charge by morning.

My QT3000 handset loses range near the edge of the house — could the new battery be the cause?

Yes, a weak or partially charged Ni-MH pack directly affects transmit power. The DECT radio in the handset draws a current spike during transmission, and if the battery voltage sags under that RF load, the handset reduces transmit power to compensate — shrinking range. Complete at least three full charge-discharge cycles on the new pack first. If range is still reduced after conditioning, confirm the battery rests at 3.6V on a multimeter after a full charge before suspecting the base station antenna.
