Fits SkyGolf SkyCaddie SX550 GPS navigator, replaces OEM part CXDHA 695776P.
3.8V 5000mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers full power to GPS receiver and touchscreen display without voltage sag.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with positive terminal forward; locking tab seats flush.
We ran this pack through five full charge cycles; BMS accepted input at standard 5V without fault codes.
Power the unit fully on outdoors after install and let it acquire satellite lock before navigation — GPS performs a cold start after power removal that takes several minutes for first fix.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

SkyGolf SkyCaddie SX550 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (CXDHA 695776P)

This is a 3.8V 5000mAh Li-Polymer cell built to replace the original CXDHA 695776P battery in the SkyGolf SkyCaddie SX550 handheld GPS golf navigator. It powers the touchscreen display and GPS receiver through a full round of play. Capacity figures are taken directly from the product specification — 19Wh total energy.

  • SkyCaddie SX550 fit: The SX550 uses a single flat Li-Polymer cell with a matching footprint of 75.20 × 57.10 × 7.00mm. The connector and cell geometry must match exactly — any dimensional mismatch puts pressure on the touchscreen assembly and can cause display damage.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the SX550's GPS-active load profile. The BMS held 3.8V nominal cleanly through sustained GPS acquisition and display-on states, with no unexpected cutoffs at the protection threshold.
  • Cold-start satellite acquisition after fitting: After fitting this cell, power the SX550 fully on outdoors and let it acquire a satellite fix before heading to the first tee. GPS performs a cold start after any full power interruption — first fix takes 5–10 minutes. Subsequent warm starts drop well under a minute once ephemeris data is cached.

GPS accuracy reduced at the low-battery threshold on the SX550

When the SX550 battery drops below a certain voltage, the device can reduce GPS receiver sensitivity to protect remaining power for a clean shutdown. This shows up as yardage readings that update slowly or satellite count dropping on the status screen. It is not a GPS signal problem — it is the device pulling back receiver power. Keeping the cell above 3.6V during a round avoids this behaviour entirely.

SX550 shuts off mid-round without any low-battery warning

A fresh replacement cell needs a full charge cycle before the SX550's battery indicator reads accurately. Until the device has calibrated its voltage-to-percentage mapping, the indicator can show two or three bars and then cut off abruptly when the BMS hits its undervoltage protection floor. Charge the new cell to 100% before the first use, then discharge it fully on a round. After one complete cycle, the shut-off warning will trigger at the correct level.

Frequently Asked Questions

My SX550 lost all my saved courses and shot data after I swapped the battery — is that gone for good?

Course maps loaded from SkyGolf's servers are re-downloadable, but any locally stored shot history or custom POIs held in battery-backed RAM can be lost when power is fully removed. Before fitting the new cell, sync the device to your SkyGolf account to back up any data that can be pushed to the cloud. After the swap, re-sync on Wi-Fi to restore downloaded course content. Data that was never synced cannot be recovered.

The SX550 is showing accurate yardage on holes 1–9 but the GPS seems to drift or lag on the back nine — what causes that?

This is a voltage-sag symptom. As the cell discharges through the round, sustained GPS receiver load and screen brightness pull the voltage down enough that receiver sensitivity drops. The result is slower position updates and occasional yardage drift. Lower screen brightness by one or two steps on the back nine — this reduces the combined draw and keeps the GPS receiver running at full sensitivity longer into the round.

After fitting the new battery, the SX550 took almost 10 minutes to find satellites on the first hole — is the GPS hardware damaged?

The GPS module is not damaged. Full power removal forces a cold start, which means the chip must re-download satellite ephemeris data from scratch — that process takes 5–10 minutes in open sky. Every warm start after that, where the device simply wakes from sleep, will lock in under a minute because the ephemeris is already cached. Stand outside in clear sky on the practice green before your round and let the fix complete before walking to the first tee.
